Yes it was Les Miles stubborness level. They were determined to throw when Ark dropped 8

Our RBs were averaging 6-7 YPC.

Our interior was especially bad. We’d have the entire interior losing to one defender in a bull rush. Most of the problem with the sacks happened because of that.

To me it seemed like maybe Arkansas came with a combination of blitzing and having a spy on JD. For some reason, it seems like we were very slow to adjust to that.

Running the ball worked from the beginning, but we did it sparingly at first. I think some misdirection might have worked as well. Get them going after JD in one direction and do a reverse or quick throw to the other side of the field.

You are correct. LSU would run for 7 then pass on consecutive downs then punt.

One side note. Daniels was taking a pounding in his last three games, especially vs Bama. When he handed the ball off on a run option at the last second, he was getting nailed. Denbrock probably wanted to spare his star QB some of that punishment.

A lot of the sacks were on JD, not the OL. 5 didn't pull the trigger to open receivers all day. Some plays called for the OL to only block for 3 maybe 4 seconds. JD for whatever reason held on too long to the ball.
