Ungrateful, no. Higher expectations for many areas than what he's accomplished/exhibited thus far, yes.

right back at you. Sooooo, the winningest active coach in college football is not a great coach? That isn't being ungrateful...that is being downright nuts!

When he got here Kelly said to reserve judgment on his running of the program until year 3. Well here we are end of year 3 and unranked, coming off year 2 squandering a Heisman season by the 2nd best QB in school history with the worst defense in school history. Has he killed it in the portal? Absolutely. Has he won some games and had some big wins? Absolutely. That mixed bag is his record so far and people have every right to question his coaching, doesn’t make then ungrateful

Kelly is 9-10 win a year coach at best. He will never get LSU over the hump. Woodward made a lazy hire instead of going out a getting some young blood with fire. Watching Kelly's team is like watching Miles 2.0 on the last years of Miles career at LSU.

Kelly is who kelly is.

The problem is it took basically 8 years for notre dame to realize he is a good program builder and a horrible big game coach. By the time we realized it, he had been trying to leave for 5 years and asking for more money each year...even without winning the big game.

He literally accepted the lsu job while on a recruiting visit where he promised the kid he wasnt leaving. He got on the private jet and the news broke.

The guy just is a solid coach, but its all about him.

LSU currently has the #2 2025 class in the transfer portal & had the #7 2025 ranked recruiting class. Both of your statements are incorrect.

If the talent is here, it must be the coaching that's lacking. Starts at the top.

Why is this myth continued to be posted here. I hate to throw facts into a hyperbole conversation but here are the FACTS. I only went back to the Pelini year because I knew that would be an easy one to dispute your statement.

2020 - LSU ranked 99th , 35 points per game given up, and 492 yards per game allowed
2023 - LSU ranked 82nd, 28 points per game given up, and 416 yards per game allowed

I thought he left Notre Dame because he couldn't get the athletes to beat s e c teams

Now, LSU is weaker and ND is able to dominate Georgia.

You're a moron if you think that's pure coincidence

Thanks for this sober and non-homer take. Some LSU fans on here are in denial like Aggie fans with Jimbo. Congratulations on the ND run. Win it all.

a horrible big game coach.
This season, Ole Miss was a huge game, won that one. In 2022, Alabama was a huge game, won that one, etc I guess if he doesn't win every big game, he is a horrible big game coach. Wow...just wow!

I guess that is similar to little Nicky publicly stating "I am not leaving to become the head coach at Alabama" and telling the Miami owner that he was not leaving the Dolphins. What you described has happened dozens of times over the years by different coaches. I have read the statements by recruits saying exactly what you said except it was about umpteen other coaches. Talk about selective criticism.

Great programs don’t have tons of people leaving in the portal.

Alabama and LSU have the same amount of portal entrants this year. Michigan has 6 more. Not sure if those are great programs or not but they seem like they are at least very good programs.

How on earth do you have sufficient information to make this claim?!

only if the players are coached up and put in a position to succeed. That is where our problem lies in many, if not all coaching positions. Are they Ok, yes, are they championship calibre developers and game day flexible? I haven't seen it. Changes are necessary imo for LSU to take advantage of an upgrade in talent coming in next year. I am unsure if Kelly has what it takes to realize that and pull the trigger to improve the program. We will see.

Why in the world would I tell you how I know that? Believe it or not. Don’t care. A lot of what you see and hear from Kelly is fake.

Bet he wins one before Lane, Napier, Fickell or Riley……-all those who folks were screaming for when we hired Kelly.

And getting blown out in the conference championship game. It’s odd how our fans never mention that.
