If you listened to T-Bob and Hester last year, they said half-time adjustments are really a myth and over-rated by fans. Once everyone is done peeing at halftime there isn’t much time for anything substantial. Just a breather, couple of broad notes and quick pep-talk. If a team has a much better second half everyone credits half-time adjustments when it’s really just a better second half.

Quality coaches and programs have Halftime adjustments before the game.
When preparing for a huge game, you just have several angles and game-plans.
I coached against Evangel in their prime. We had 1Q coverages, 2Q coverages & our 2H were a mix of the 1&2Q coverages that we flipped opposite on it’s head (too complicated to explain via text).
Evangel had 12 coaches in the press-box, they read your signals from the sidelines etc.. but knowing they would make adjustments at half to what we showed them, we played opposite coverages the 3Q & in the 4th we mixed them all
Together. We sacked them several times and had a couple
Picks which is unusually for Evangel Btw. We won & broke their 64 game winning streak back around the turn of the century, just to give an era timeline.
Keeping the opposing team guessing is part of the preparation and it usually has to be in the cards leading up the game.
You find the other teams weaknesses and have several ways to attack. And if they have a solution for 1-2-3 of your game-plan strategies, then you’ve got to be creative. it’s all In the film preparation and thinking outside the box.
It’s always a chess match amongst top level coaches on a level playing field with close to equal talent, you’ve got to be able to adjust on the fly & i think Kelly has those abilities.
There are few coaches on the elite level, maybe the greatest of all time is Belicheck and it’s not even close.

It'll be the best half time adjustment capability we've had in 18 years.

We saw what happened to our defense as soon as Aranda went to Baylor. No 2nd half adjustments what so ever. Oeaux may have been the worst at that. While we know 1st hand little Tricky Nicky is probably best all time. Remembering the time we embarrassed the big fat Orange world in Hotlanta walking around with their rose's in-between their tooth. We shut that arse down in the 2nd half.

Only can be a positive based on O and Miles who had no clue on halftime adjustments.

Seems like a good question. Why the downvote?
Because we have tons of armchair coaches on the board

Being at field level, the head coach is not usually the person to recommend specific changes. The coordinators and staff in the press box should see things that need correcting and make the recommendation, and the HC makes the final call. Kelly has a long time relationship with Denbrock, so I could see him trusting him implicitly to make adjustments. I would think he would trust House to do the same.
I personally feel it will be crucial to make in game corrections. With so many players on the field who have never played together, it is a no brainer that there will be growing pains the first few games.

He doesn't adjust. He's like Kirby. Very good at the mon-fri game planning not great on game day.

Can it not be extrapolated from his W/L record ?

No. He has faith that his plan will eventually work. He NEVER adjusts
