Really? In this thread someone said Boutte was getting criticized cause he’s black, and I disagreed and said the criticism is justified.

obviously the QB situation wasnt ideal for any of the players.

How do some of you function in life? You think because something isn't "ideal" it gives you an excuse to pout and check out? What if Daniels checked out because the protection wasn't "ideal" on every play? What if Cain checked out because he didn't start and get 10 carries in the first half?

Good grief. Adversity happens in life. You have to preserve and navigate through it.

Nabers, Jenkins and Thomas all ended to with 5 catches each, and I believe zero drops. They dealt with a supposedly not ideal qb situation and didn't pout about it or let it affect their effort.

I really don't know what game some of you people who are in here defending Boutte were watching.

In a previous post you said he was getting hated on simply because he was black. That is just not true. Unless Max Johnson got shite on last year simply because he was white.

The logic here is that the criticism of Daniels can’t be race based because a white qb also got criticized. That makes sense to you?

It doesn’t matter what anyone said about any other white or black qb’s. None of it is relevant to what people are saying about this specific qb. This is basically the “I have a black friend so I can’t be racist argument”. The “I can’t be racist I also hate a white guy” argument.

The Taysom Hill vs Teddy Bridgewater shite is proof that it’s about skin color, not running qb’s in general. If Teddy was white and Taysom black, there is no scenario where that is even a debate amongst the fan base.

As usual in these cases nobody is asking why. Instead Boutte is just a villain and mentally unstable because those are the go to smears now days. There’s a reason for this happening and it’s not “muh Boutte bad person.”

I’m not gonna be the lightning rod because we all know why. Just pointing out the campaign is obvious and typical.

Maybe you need to stop conversing with total morons. Anyone who thinks Hill is a better QB than Bridgewater is severely mentally challenged.

I really don't even think this was an actual debate.

It seems like a lot of LSU receivers end up head cases for some reason.

Makes sense to me.

Cancer must be cut out. I’m not saying that’s Boutte, but if it is, cut him out.

Some of y’all need to back off with criticism. The young man returned when he could have transferred. He got injured giving his all and all you experts on the game can do is criticize.

Naw. You're going to have to say it.

What I know is Kayshon was as good as gone last December. Got an NIL deal from Gordon to stay. Got a sweetened deal to stay again. Then proceeded to check out of our first game after 2 possessions. I can't fathom any legitimate reason for him to do that.

Boutte is a compensated employee. He took the money and has failed to deliver on his end of the financial agreement.

He deserves criticism.

Let these players develop. Give them time. How many offensive and defensive coordinators have some of these guys played under in the last couple years. When they develop you will see a top tier program.

For that logic to hold it would mean that he couldn’t have gotten an NIL deal anywhere else. We’re talking about one of the best WRs in the country, it doesn’t hold water. He also wouldn’t have been angry and lashed out at Kelly had that been his reasons.

I'm not following you here. Of course he could have gotten NIL money elsewhere, but he decided to take Gordon's NIL money and stay. That's the decision he made. If Gordon hadn't paid him (twice), I have no doubt he'd be at Bama right now.

You can’t say he always wanted to leave but didn’t because of the NIL and admit that he could’ve gotten it elsewhere. You’ve erased your case for his motivations.
