Haha depends on a lot of things. Just because he has a broken ankle doesn’t mean he’s out for the year.

Not true Cupp from A&M will be our a minimal 3 months with his ankle fx. All depends if ligaments are involved. Syndesmosis, deltoid.

It all depends how bad the break is with Kardell. I broke my ankle as well as tore a couple ligaments and had a plate with 6 screws put in. I was off crutches in 3 weeks, in a walking boot without crutches another 4 and had about 4 weeks of physical therapy after that. The ligaments were actually slower to heal than the bone. My break was in 3 places so it was a bad one, if Kardell’s isn’t as bad he could be ready to go in about 8 weeks. Even without our top guys we will still beat GA Southen with Magee and Campbell starting at the gaurd spots.

Apparently got injured and could be serious per Coach O press conference...

Well, I think LSU has enough good olinemen that this won't be a major setback for the oline or offense. Yes, I'd like to have seen him get reps in games early on too, but I don't think he was going to be a major contributor on the oline this season. Minor contributor, but not a major one, not like Lewis, Hines, Traore, Magee, Campbell, Cush or Deculus. Hope he does come back before the end of the season and get some game reps though.

Orgeron said he was not injured last year and just needed to improve technique.

Why isn’t he competing at RT?
Because he isn't a tackle.

He was probably gonna do the 4 game max RS anyway, but this sucks for him.

I hope he keeps his weight under control while sidelined.

Hate this for Kardell, expected him to get a handful of meaningful snaps this year.

That's much better than an ACL. Bones can mend and even mend back stronger. And he should be back this year.

A broken ankle actually has a better recovery time than ligament damage, but he is a true freshman and the season is almost here. He is done for this season. Even with a speedy 2 month recovery and no setbacks, he would still need to get back into playing shape after rehab. They need to just redshirt him and let him fully recover for next season.

I also saw dislocated ankle mentioned. If it is that and if no ligament damage (not likely), then he could potentially come back this season.
