Justin Jefferson 37 1/2 inch vert is more impressive than 40.

Odell Beckham had a 38.5 for reference and they have the exact forty time of 4.43. A 37.5 inch vertical shows athleticism and explosiveness.

Absolutely unbelievable, that is a fantastic vertical for the NBA. And to do that at his weight for his height is unreal.

NFL players actually have much higher standing verts than NBA players. The highest standing vert at the NBA combine last year was 36 inches. There are already over 30 guys at the NFL combine that beat 36 inches.

The main difference is NFL players will probably be an inch higher off a run than from a standstill and an NBA player will be a foot+ higher (because CEH probably squats 600+ and most NBA players aren't even remotely close to that).

So yeah, a 38 inch standing vert from any human is insane.

When I first read the title I'm like, "how is a 37 1/2 vertical better than a 40-inch vertical?"
