Is not drinking an option? Serious question, bc if you with kids and drinking, I can understand wanting alternative transportation. But, if you sober, then drive.

Cabs/uber will be unavailable. Rail will suck with the crowd. Catching a ride with friends not an option with kids. Hiring a driver only if you OT rich.

Try in the Medical Center area. There's a little train that can take you to the stadium.

Drinking for sure but probably not the wife. Just would rather not deal with driving if at all possible. Looks like the galleria hotels are pretty close to the stadium. Trying to check on shuttle services.

We got a room at the Marriott Medical Center. Yeah, the crowds on the train will be packed but at least you get there and don't have to drive and park and all that stuff.

If I read their website correctly, I think the train goes straight to the stadium so you won't be packed in the train for very long.

Try that.

They are. But remember, once you've made the commitment to drive, downtown, gallery, the loop, anyway is an option. The worse part will be fighting the traffic to leave the stadium.

After that, the entire city of Houston is 30 minutes or less.

It's a weekend in Houston...no big deal. This is a M-F town, the football crowd will be insignificant to all modes of transportation.

Just booked Hilton Americas by Minute Maid. 8 miles from the stadium but hotel shuttle will bring me to the train. Nice place. Stayed there before for Astros games. Thank y'all for all the input.

Anybody know when I should expect my tickets in the mail from LSU? Non-season ticket holder, bought off LSUtix.net

I've heard many people say "mid-August," but I'm just not sure when I should be like "there is a problem, I should have them by now".

Check out Astros website. Discount tickets to Astros vs Rangers on 8/29/14. Use discount code LSU to get a serious discount on tickets. Or you can hit up Saint Arnold Brewing co Friday night! Check out their website www.saintarnold.com

Hope to see you at The Official LSU Tailgate. www.lsuhoustontailgate.com
