Here are your exact words:

What’s different this year? This A&M team is spectacularly similar to the A&M teams of the last several years.

Where does it say I see no difference? The results this year (7 wins) is spectacularly similar to Sumlin’s years (8.5 win average).

It's not really interesting. One coach has a track record of success, with one bad season being the outlier. The other one does not have a track record of success, with the current season being the outlier.

Orgeron will be afforded benefit of the doubt when he earns it. Like most coaches.

O is now 13-4 vs the SEC west over 3 seasons now... the hardest division in the hardest conference that has EVER existed. (3 losses vs Bama, and most of all the teams in the country would be 0-3 or at best 1-2).

I think he has EARNED plenty.

Going for semantics? . Too bad for you that you've posted a whole bunch more.

The truth is, A&M is getting more of what they have had for the last many years. The only difference is that they are paying a lot more for it.

We have never met that I know of, so my opinion is strictly based off of what I see on here. Don't try to make a living off sports betting or anything that requires logic or critical thinking. Gene C. won a natty at Auburn. Man if we could have only hired him. One time wonders does not make a coach brilliant. A&M went out and hired a good defensive coordinator. The talent was already there. Jimbo will get the credit for the wins when he has done nothing to deserve the credit. The Aggies has a really good RB. Jimbo didn't make him that way. Our offense for various reasons has struggled this year. Coach O was handed a team with no starters at Running Back, Wide Out, QB and his offensive line was the weakest link the last few years. He brought in 2 JC guys to help. One has been a starter from day one. The other off and on. The line is still the weakness of this team. But anybody who thinks that our running backs could start for any other SEC team don't know football. Sumlin left Jimbo way better off. His offense is average. If we lose tomorrow, it will because we are not full strength on defense. Give Jimbo time, he will fall on his face.

What an absolutely hilarious melt. Only made it through the first couple sentences though. Hope you didn't spend too much time on it.

He’s a 10x better coach than Orgeron.

Can you really be that dumb? They are getting the same number of wins but paying a lot more for it. There’s no semantics game to anyone that understands English.

To be fair, he should get credit for making a good DC hire. After all, making good assistant coach hires is perhaps the most important part of a head coach’s job. But managing assistants and battling complacency was what the Tallahassee press was most critical of Jimbo for.

Still working on that first 10-win season, but he's "earned plenty", and should be afforded the same benefit of the doubt as a national championship winning coach with multiple conference championships.

Did Brady Hoke "earn plenty" when he won the Sugar Bowl at Michigan? How about Clay Helton? He actually won a conference title and Rose Bowl. Hell, what about Gerry Dinardo? He went 10-2 at LSU one season.

I don't know how FSU thought it was a good idea to hire Taggart

His background really isn't inspiring

He recruits, but outside of that it doesn't get much better

Mike Archer left a mess. Curley couldn't coach, but he left some good players for Dinardo.

I'll give you that Jimbo basically took his last year at FSU off after losing his starting QB against bama week 1.

no doubt. i said this for ages.

That's a weird pass for a supposed great coach.

It isn’t that he “took a year off”.

Jimbo was left hung out to dry at FSU when it was clear he was leaving in 2015 before the LSU administration pulled the rug out from under him and left him at the altar.

The problems and lack of support that he had from the administration already, which is why he was looking for an exit strategy to begin with, at that point became irreparable. It also weakened his standing with the fan base and even some of the locker room.

That said, he didn’t quit or take a year off. He still went out and closed the #6 class in the country, including head to head victories over O for players that were needs and would have been huge assets for this program and should still be for FSU under the current coach.

But the atmosphere in the operations building was toxic, and yes, when Francois went down early in the first game of the year, it did appear that things went off the rails. Woodward was likely already vetting his interest were they to move on from Sumlin, and similar to Saban at LSU in 2004, the personal and professional considerations he was going through seemed to have an impact on the field as the year went on.

The bottom line is, like Les Miles at LSU in 2016, Fisher wasn’t left in a great position to succeed after it became clear neither was there for the long term anymore.

Anyone claiming that Fisher “took a year off” at FSU must also agree that Alleva and the powers that be at LSU took that year off as well, a year that absolutely should have been the best chance at a championship this program had seen in years.

After flirting with a successor, the same way Fisher did, LSU was left with a partner they no longer wanted, and the partner knew it. That was never going to end well for either of those programs and Alleva and the board deserve endless criticism for such a foolhardy approach to that process which cost that 2016 team what could have been a season to remember, rather than one they would all likely prefer to forget.

Maybe Jimbo is a better OC than a head coach. It is a different skill set to be the face of a program and manage it. Time will tell.

Well actually he’s 11-4 against the West if facts are your thing. Regardless, that’s a very specific measuring stick.

That leaves his winning percentage at a solid 73.3%.

However, when you factor in total SEC record he is 15-6, which drops that to 71.4%.

If you want to get most specific however, his record against the West and Florida, our permanent opponent, his record drops to 12-6, leaving him at 66.7%.

Just so we all have our facts straight

This is a lie! Totally 100% BS. The facts are, Fla State didn't have the $$$$$$$$ the Aggies have, but everything they had, they were willing to give Fisher, despite that he screwed them over big-time. Thankful every day, that this mega lowlife with his mega salary is not coaching at LSU.

The Aggies will never win an SEC title or national title with Fisher, he'll sink the program just like he sunk Fla State's.

Despite losing coaches, look out how well Miss St, Texas, and LSU have carried on, while Fla State has sunk to a new low. That will be the Aggies, they'll never do better than 7 or 8 wins.
