Technically anything is between 1st and 3rd because its a straight line. What they basically mean is they can't be past the bases along the foul lines.

because the ncaa wants to make regionals and super regionals as level of a playing feild as possible. they want to cut down some of the home feild advantage. that's why our batters don't have walk-up music when coming to the plate.

someone seriously needs to go set up some folding chairs on the infield in a straight line between 1st and 3rd.
first time Wayne Graham's mother takes a line drive off the jawbone the NCAA will probably clarify the rule.

Basically why they take all fun out of any postseason play.. frick THEM. Is there a rule where they charge $5 for a fricking pathetic piece of paper with nothing useful to the fans? Where as LSU can produce a hell of a program and put in more pages and nice cover and charge $1??

This was my only consolation for not having enough TAF points to get moved all of the way into the GS: at least I know that they can't take my seat for post-season play! Well, that and still being with the R3BG crew!
