Fox Sports had a pretty good article yesterday saying the LSU and Miles should do the right thing and suspend JJ, but they wont.

Why? they pondered... Blame the BCS is what they said. There is so much riding on the Nat Champ, that it would be foolish to risk it all by sitting player.

The agrument is a playoff would be more forgiving and LSU coudl still make it with 1 loss, whereas the BCS makes it much more unlikely.

The gist: blame the BCS if Miles starts JJ.

Looking at it a little differently, I would say that right now, no one perhaps outside of Les Miles knows definitively who is going to be our starting QB vs Oregon.

That friends, includes Oregon.

It would behoove us to keep it that way until gameday.

If you broke rules regarding your job...yes. If you had an emplyee hand book and one of the rules regarding your job wasn't to go out after 10:30 and you chose to do so, then it is definitely up to your employer as to whether they have grounds to suspend or fire you.

why not use this to your advantage? Why not make chip Kelley prepare for 2 different styles of offense? Why give him a full 10 days to prepare for one qb?

Once again. JJ plays, not suspended entirely. They would make a grave mistake not to prepare for JJ.

The big media thing is "the starting quarterback at LSU". Well strip him of that title. He at the bare minimum broke team rules and didn't adhere to the curfew that was established to keep him out of this situation.

It's a yearly tradition to go out and have a good time on the night they were out. Don't be dumb.

Reports coming out now by eye witnesses that JJ played the peacemaker too.

Just give it up. You made your point. We get it. You want LEE to be the starter.

Oh yeah, if you want to come across as being unbiased and just looking out for LSU's best interest, then it may be good to change your avatar pic.

I think Miles knows who's going to star the game, he's just keeping Oregon (and the nation) guessing

Go ahead and bookmark this thread, homeboy. Because you're going to get you wish, JJ sits this game out. I think JL will prove to be serviceable, but that's not to say I want JJ to sit out. But Les has made up his mind, and the fact that media isn't allowed in to his practices, he is going to keep everyone guessing until gameday. As he should.

I agree. Even if other player missed the curfew, they did try to save a helpless girl which resulted in from what some people say was a fight. (This has not been confirmed). You know the old saying, you are not breaking the rules until you get caught. However, once you get caught, you have to pay. (Or someone at the university pays a lawyer for you)

Don't you mean they did step in to stop a girl from being harassed by her ex? Isn't that how Wing got hit in the face?

The funniest part in al this, is you dont even know if Lee broke curfew or not.

So far we have JJ, T-bob, Wing, Dport, Johns, And landry. We werent given any other names.

We've got enough talent on our team to not start for at least one play any position on it. Once again every player contributes to the game. I'm only stating to not start them, because they not only broke team rules, but also caused a fiasco and distraction that should have never happened.

If Lee broke curfew then start Mett. I don't care. The attention is on the "starting quarterback at LSU". In the end the best players will contribute to the win against Oregon

Breaking curfew on the night they did it is a tradition. The coaches and everyone else knows about it but turns a blind eye. Think of it as a reward.

AKA You are dumb as frick.

No link, and no other news from my source(sarcasm)
but too much smoke around the situation. The media doesnt have access to practice, so what do they do? Maul the players for hints as soon as pratice is over. Im sure Randle got an earful for saying that Lee got a majority of the reps with the 1's. And Lee who was probably coached more on what to say, said it was business as usual, and that JJ practiced with the 1's
Mascona, who never puts out bad info that i know of, said there were reports from his source at LSU saying specifically that Mett and Lee were sharing time with the 1's, Then it was cross reported later. I just think with the national perception of this situation, and there has been no conclusive evidence that JJ was NOT involved, Miles hand is going to feel forced.
I also dont think that Miles is worried about having to start Lee, and he is confident in whichever guy he puts under center. He knows he won 11 games last year with his nasty defense and solid running game, and he knows he has that back this year.
Dont misconstrue, I am not on board with Lee starting..But Im not against it either.
