But bottom line: it's frustrating when, with all the big-time playmakers LSU's offense has on the field at RB and WR, the ball is much of the time in the hands of a QB who is running.

What big-time playmakers? Our only proven weapon was a true freshman last year.

How do we get into these below average QB situations in the first place? Did someone not get the memo about players declaring or graduating?

The difference between last year and Mett's first year >>>>>>>> the difference between Mett's 1st and 2nd season.

Mett was also a junior with a full season of starting QB under his belt at his JUCO and a season of practice at LSU before he became the starter.

I predict LSU to at least make either the SECCG or Final 4 in EACH of the next 4 years

This is gonna be good.........

Jesus F Christ!! Mett improved because he went from having Stud as an OC, who was abysmal, to having Cam.

Studs offense was leaps and bounds better the year before Mett became the starter, and they pretty much had the same weapons around him. Oh and the quarterbacks were JEFFERSON and LEE!! Like I said earlier the only difference is experience. They were both seniors in the same system their whole careers. I know they didn't beat everyone passing the ball that year, but experienced quarterbacks do the little things like move the chains on third downs to keep the offense on the field.

Maturation by both quarterbacks was fairly obvious.

I don't see how you come to this while watching a vanilla touch football game..........
