I’ll take a top half of the league offense with the #2 pitching staff.

What? Now we’re going to cherry pick the stats to make them worse! What a fanbase!

Ok, leave Mizzou in. Still middle of the pack in battle average, but upper half.

They are bottom half in runs scored.

It’s ok to admit the offense is poor.

It’s okay to be the 8th best offense in the toughest baseball conference in the country when you have the 2nd best pitching staff. We are a good team with a good coach. Enjoy the ride. See you in Omaha.

These next two weeks will be determine that. If they don’t play in Baton Rouge in the regionals and super regionals they won’t make Omaha.

Any reason you left off losing series to unranked team?

For being one of the top baseball programs in history, LSU's fans are(in general) completely oblivious when it comes to the actual sport.

There were multiple thread on the rant when I was a lurker calling for Burrow and Jayden to be benched. 2 of the best QBs in the NFL currently weren't good enough for a portion of our fanbase at one point.

The offense is bad. Let’s hope they get better, but they are just bad.

"Bad" is probably a stretch. I think "inefficient" is a better term. They are getting guys on base at a decent rate. They just aren't turning that into runs at an expected clip. IMO, it feels like the offense is too reliant on the HR. If/when the ball is going out of the park, LSU is fine. If not, they struggle.

Middle of the pack doesn't seem like a great statistic you should be peacocking around.

Middle of the pack in one statistic is absolutely good enough to get the job done in postseason. Do I wish we would win 20-2 every game and he #1 in everything? Of course lol. But not too often that occurs.

Ah yes. Loser mentality to be happy that our offense is good enough and our pitching is by statistical measures elite. You’re right.

Downvoted because the OP forgot to add "fire the 3rd base coach" to the list.

Yes. This is to highlight and remind us of how good this team and coaching staff is. If you’d like to start a thread on how bad they are, you are welcome to do so.

Wait you didn’t hear?! If we don’t sweep every series and lead the country in offense and defense we can’t go to Omaha!

We are very likely to face multiple offense worse than the “8th best offense in the SEC”. We gotta pick it up, but you seem to really overrate how good teams actually are.

This is the definition of mediocre. That’s what you want to strive for?

You also need to add frequency of hosting a super under Jay to your statistic list.

Having a top half of the league offense and the #2 pitching staff while being 38-11 and number 3 in the country is the definition of mediocre? Sign me up!
