Craig was also the "recruiting coordinator". If some of you knew how completely unorganized recruiting was this year, and at times a complete shite show, you would be way more impressed with the class we just signed.

I'm going to take your word for Craig being the RC.

However, it was my understanding that that was merely a technicality and that Austin Thomas was the real coordinator. What's the deal here? Did I just misunderstand?

Why can't Austin Thomas be the recruiting coordinator?

This. Austin Thomas had a complete mess to fix when he came back.

Ignore New Orleans and get u a guy that can't go into those households and can't relate. We will see some Dinardo type shite going on

I was not a fan of the O hire, but I'll give O this: he's certainly competent enough to know that he needs a guy that's connected to the nOLA area.

I don't have any doubt he'll hire at least one more guy with those connections. Just curious who it'll be

So why not keep BDP around until signing day and then can him? What was the rush?

Re-open the Coaching Changes board and let's get the sauces flying.

Some hot sauces already cooking up on the Recruiting board

If LSU actually relies on an on field assistant to be "Recruiting Coordinator" and really organize recruiting, LSU has a huge problem on their hands

RC is an extra title for prestige and to justify salary increases. The actual organization and coordinating of recruiting comes from off the field personnel who have the time to deal with that stuff.

TL;DR - Dameyune Craig didn't actually organize/coordinate anything for LSU

Great question. NOLA is a recruiting gold mine. Got to find someone with inroads there.
