Viral meningitis. Hospitalized for it. I’m glad the Rangers think enough of him to have moved him down while he recovered. It takes longer than most people realize.

He and his wife are fan favorites. They do a podcast and are very big in the community.
We are all rooting for him and honestly, he’s gone a lot further than I thought he would.

That’s what it seems like. He briefly came back for a 3 game series in June & then got sent down. Now he’s back after Seager went on IL

He played one series vs MIN after Seager got put on IL.
PH in game 1, was 0-1
Started at 2B in game 2, was 1-4
Started at 2B in game 3, was 1-4
Nothing that seems like he got sent back due to performance. It was probably just a little earlier than they expected to bring him back.
Seager just got put back on IL so they call him back up. Hopefully he is back for good now

That was the point. You do not recover overnight from that illness.
