Not sure why you guys are taking this so poorly. Vegas has our total set at 8.5 (shaded to the over). It easily could be a game above or below that, we have a hard schedule and a lot of uncertainty around a team. I don't think Pate is being overly disrespectful here and he's been pretty pro-LSU in the past.

Why does anyone care what this guy's opinion is? What he's saying is not crazy either. LSU's schedule is not easy even with a talented team. That being said, this is clickbait nobody should care.

You don’t think there’s any way? They went 8-5 last year. They went 6-1 in games that Lagway started. The one game that they lost was to Georgia and they had the lead when Lagway got hurt. I’m not saying it will happen but having Florida 9-3 isn’t as crazy as some are making it out to be.

The problem with him is he’s a flip flopping, fence riding arse clown. In his very show this morning he said they he thinks Brian Kelly is one of the best coaches in the nation. Loves our roster, loves our staff, loves the operations side of us.
But still has us going 8-4. He’s a complete hack and he is a hypocrite. We’ve got a better roster and staff than both Florida and aTm. Yet somehow they’re ahead of us in his dumbass mind.

You mean clickbait because we have no idea if our OL is going to be good or if we’re actually going to have a running game. We will be lucky if we go 8-4 of those two things aren’t successful.

He’s said that if we prove we can start hot against Clemson that drastically changes his view on us, but he’s worried BK teams start slow (they do) don’t show up in big games (50/50) and the O-line is a big question (it is).
He’s not an LSU fan, so he’s not going to have an optimistic view on the team every year like us. Everyone needs to chill

I think that after you do that for a certain amount of time the group think permeates your thought process. You're no longer the one that sees the forest through the trees.

Yes, it's click bait because he's doing this to be a contrarian to the rest of the media and get a rise out of the fan bases. It doesn't matter if his take is reasonable or not, his motivation behind it is the same as anyone who needs controversy to create clicks and ratings. No controversy to his ratings then no talking, no clicks, and no ratings, therefore no money for Josh Pate. The same guy who will brag all day "I told you so" when he's right but never say anything when he's wrong which is more often than not. Nobody should care about his opinion. His opinion is no different than me, you, or the average rant poster.

Seems about right. As long as BK is on the sidelines 8-4 will remain the accepted standard at LSU
