Proud of him man. He over came so much adversity. Show them what you got Josh! Charging Indians to a Tiger, now take flight and be a Hawk!

Update: Gray had a workout with the Jazz that went well two days ago

And ATL has given him a call back for a 2nd workout.

I know he's going to make it. That uptempo dribble drive play will pay dividends and show his real talent. Still needs to work on finishing and having a consistent shot, but the work effort, heart, and tools are there. He's going to find a role somewhere .

He'll be in the d league for a while but he has the tools to improve and maybe get a opportunity down the line.

a man can dream i guess. Hope he got his degree, although i don't think it will be easy to get a job when you're covered in tats.

I don't even think he's good enough to play overseas, and if he did, he'd make little money.

I'm as big of a Gray fanboy as anyone, but he couldn't remotely consistently finish at the rim in college, he won't in the pros

It's a long shot, but you never know? I doubt anyone would have thought on team with Tyrus Thomas, Glen Davis, and Tasmin Mitchell, that Garrett Temple would be the only one remaining in the NBA this past season.

Gray has to get much better. There's no question about that. But as others have said, his game might be a little better suited for the NBA than college. There is much more space and pace in the NBA. That's when Gray thrived at LSU. He struggled mightily to finish at the rim, but he's got well above average quickness and ball-handling ability that can't be taught.

Jones is a trainwreck of an x's and o's coach at LSU. Gray maybe could thrive in an arena where the coaching is top notch rather than whatever disorganized mess Jones had him in.

Look at the difference between the offenses. The spacing and movement and you'll see why it didn't work out here. Ban bet he makes in the nba?

This is correct. He's quick and can penetrate very well, but can't finish, and turns it over too much trying to drive and dish. Also has poor shooting %. Disagree with the OP, don't think he'll make it.

If the Atlanta Hawks coaches & management are giving Josh Gray the chance to workout with them, then potentially he is a better player than what you think. Tigers fans should wish Josh Gray the best in his future career, at least I do!

In what?
Did he actually graduate with a degree, or is his eligibility up and he's off to do something else?
