If he was, it’s irrelevant. Things change, people change, situations change. I was never an O fan when he was hired, but when he went 15-0 and won the National title, my opinion was changed. Well.... after last year, all the off field events, poor coaching hires, I’m back to where I was before he was hired. He’s too immature & insecure to run a program this big long term. He simply doesn’t have what it takes to be an effective leader, long term, for LSU to be highly successful with consistency long term.

Hmm. Not sure about that. There have been plenty on here who always thought O was a poor choice. That, by default, makes them more intelligent than those who blindly follow O because he’s “one of us”.

We all know it would take a miracle to turn it around. I trust Woodward here. He's a money man and a fundraiser, that's his strength. You can bet he's crunching numbers.

Not saying that O needs or should stay, but it's amazing how quickly a college football fan base can turn on a coach. This guy is the same guy who put together a coaching team and recruits, including a critical transfer all who combined to have the greatest college football season in history. He won every COY award & his Players won individually every award except the Most Outstanding RB award. Just an observation of how quickly we kick coaches who've had success to the curb. We should all thank the powers that be that we don't work for people with the expectations that Tiger fans have for their coaches. It's like we've been waiting for the O that coached at Ole Miss. I'm not saying he deserves to remain, it's just an observation about the unrelenting demands placed on college coaches.

It’s not JUST about the on field product.
If he had no off field baggage, he’d probably be given another year unless this year was really really bad (like 5 or 6 wins total) or if he was winning, his off field antics wouldn’t make a damn bit of difference (unless he was doing something illegal).
