The Rant: OMG GUESS WHAT JORDY DID!!

No shite. Jordy has this place eating out of the palm of his hand.

He needs viewers and clicks to sustain himself and he has found them here with his rants about O. He is reading the room well and playing to his audience.

Jordy has valid points, to be sure, but he isn't the "know it all" that he (or y'all) think he is.

Idiots on the Rant think their angst will influence Woodward.. He's way ahead of us dweebs.
I don't think the Rant influences anyone.

But I do think the thoughts and concerns expressed here (by the rational folks, not the crazies) are probably consistent with what the power brokers and decision-makers are thinking too.

Just curious, and this is meant sincerely: who is the last men's head coach, any sport, that has not been absolutely hated by the end of his tenure as head coach? Even Coach PM was hated at the end, and hate, as expressed here, is not too strong a word.

well, since most coaches are fired (rather than retire or leave voluntarily for a different job), that would apply to almost all coaches anywhere.

Of course, no one hated Saban, since he left the program in very good shape and merely left for the NFL.

7 wins this year and he’s gone. 8 his seat is hot as shite. 9 he’s safe but people are still pissed. 9 should be the absolute floor here and shouldn’t be accepted for multiple stretches. This is a double digit win talent pool year in and out.

and that should be for any coach here. Double digit wins still mean 3 losses a year. If you count Bama as one and either 2 of Florida, Auburn, TAMU, and random one off SEC, or 1 of those guys plus a bowl loss, then that should be the floor at a program like LSU who gets the NFL talent that we do.

Four losses a year doesn't make sense at a place that gets top 5 talent yearly, at a place that spends as much as LSU, and sends as much talent to the NFL as LSU.

You may not remember how that last season with him went. It wasn't great. And the bowl game was a mess. Players were pissed at him, and fans were turning. Fan sentiment is a big part of why he bolted to the NFL and later coined the term "catastrophe syndrome" to describe the LSU fanbase.

Yeah, he has acknowledged he did this because at the time he thought it was the best hire if O brought Kiffin and kept Aranda. Things changed, and Culotta has the right change his opinion.

There's a thing a lot of these idiots never thought of though. Replacing coordinators because you can't maintain one side of the ball. Us against the hire thought of this way before the hire. O as a CEO is horrible in every way possible. Tells things that shouldn't be told, can't vet coaches worth a flip, says and does stuff unbecoming of a coach of a big program like LSU (keep that shite private), doesn't have an identity, etc.

His one an only good hire so far is Joe Brady. Everybody has been either bad or TBD.

It appears Jordy sees which way the wind is blowing and is trying to make up for his past normalization of O.

Yep and it's getting tiresome.
He seems to be the first to spray gasoline on a fire.

Watching piss poor performance on the field and then listening to him sure makes a bad day. I can turn him off. Wish it was that easy to switch the channel during a game, but I'm addicted.

Skip & Saban

This is not unique to LSU. Breaking news - a coach performs bad enough to get fired and the fans aren't happy with him.

Gottam if this isn't some revisionist history.
