I guess you forgot the whole 09 season when he had a higher qb rating than Flynn in 07.
:omg: A better QB rating! Well that settles it then.

So he got worse each year then instead of getting better?
Means he might not even be able to throw the football this coming season, probably why he was cut.

Give it up. No one believes this crap anymore.
JJ had one statistically decent year, but don't let the number fool you. The offense struggled to move the sticks. Throwing 6 yards when you need 8 doesn't work.
He played with a shitty QB coach/OC for most of his career and was handicapped and unfortunately for him got worse he got older.

Shocking. Undrafted. COuldn't even a secure a UFA contract.
Why didn't Les Miles share the footage of JJ's epic clandestine practices with the NFL? Then they would have finally seen his true talent - you know, the talent that doesn't appear in actual games or the combine or the private workouts or in film study. After all, everyone knows that JJ was elevated above Lee because of these fabled non-public practice sessions.

Since you are his self appointed agent, did you send that information to Tampa? If you hadn't kept that hidden maybe Seattle would have drafted JJ as Flynn's backup.
Russell Wilson would be so disappointed.

Now the &%$@ is the very first thread AGAIN. Time to anchor this. Is JJ really this important?
To answer your question, not anymore. But I think this goes to show polarized we (fans) had become over this, the disappointment & disgust of 1/9, and how involved we are.
If TD is about what interest us fans then it'll go away on its own.

This is one of my all time favorite examples of statistics not correlating with reality. If taking unnecessary sacks was factored into QB rating, JJ would have been dead last in QB rating that season. He killed more drives by taking terrible sacks that season than can be imagined. On top of that, the passes he did throw and complete on 3rd down were almost always short of the 1st down marker (as stated by someone else in the thread).
His QB rating leading season was probably the hardest season in the history of LSU to watch our team play offense...and I am including the 2010 season in that statement.

It took the Bucs a day or two to see what Les could not (or would not) in four years.

this is why it's still so important to fans.the guy responsible for the JJ clusterfrick is still here.

so you think Miles should be fired?

I can't believe people are still debating the merits of Jordan Jefferson or Jarrett Lee.

This thread is 14 pages long.

I think the rant needs someone related to the football program to hate on an annual basis. Les is off the table and no one else on the team has done anything disappointing yet so I'm afraid JJ will be the punching bag until further notice.
