Now, Mr. Jefferson, I know you must be tired of subsidizing your son's "football career". You were expecting him to be providing you with the good life with his nfl millions. But this anger is not healthy. If something happens to you whose gonna pay his car note?

Nobody on this site, nobody in this world can give an example of a quarterback switch working in a ncaa football championship game because it never has. You cant even pretend to give a madeup example. It is just fundamentally an ignorant suggestion.

Just because it has never happened doesn't mean it never will happen.

.people forget how bad he was during his 4 years here...

His 2009 season ranks in the top 10-15 seasons of alltime at lsu.
JJ has 2 seasons where his passer rating was better than Flynn's in 2007.

ETA: down vote all you want. The above statements are facts. Do i need to explain what a fact is?

The 2011 loss in the championship game was a team loss. Every offensive player or coach on the field that night was soundly beaten on every snap of the ball. Blaming Jefferson or any other individual is just disgraceful. They got wiped out and it was not close.

Did I say it was all on Jefferson? I just stated that it would have been nice to see the coaches try something different. Maybe it would have sparked the team. The coaches had rotated the QBs before and won, we will never know. The fact is that the game plan was sub par. Les not even trying to do something different is what pissed me off. That was now 4 years ago, I'm passed it.

At least it would have been some effort on the coaches part to spark the team.

What in the world gives you the idea that a QB who was god awful in his career against Alabama was going to suddenly become a spark?

When will some wake from their coma to realize LSU lost that game at the LOS and not QB? The most mobile QB on the team was running for his life most of the game, but we should have tried a lead footed QB who crumbled under the Alabama pressure for 99% of his career?

That just does not make sense. The only reason they switched QBs during the season was due to injury. It was not a strategy to switch QBs at any time on the season. It was done out of necessity. Teams do not win at the highest level by making unexpected irational changes in any sport. Its offensive to suggest it.

well if we were going to do something different just for the sake of doing something different, why not put OBJ in at QB for the second half. Bama would have never expected that!

Exactly.
Our offensive line played worse than JJ. So the answer to that is to put in a less mobile qb that had a career 1td 7int career against bama.

By trotting Jefferson back out there, Les guaranteed a lose. Like I said, poor game plan and didn't try anything to change it.

I would have been fine with that. Or Mett. You know, the QB with NFL level ability...

There is no gameplan that can beat a defense that is 2 yards in the backfield as soon as the snap. The only thing we could have done a to beat them was get better olinemen.

Did you watch Mett's 2012 season? A 2011 Mett wouldve gotten abused worse than JJ. Posters act like Mett didnt make a hige leap from 2012 to 2013. His 2012 numbers, asode from comp %, are almost identical to Jennings in 2014

Mett could throw. He had a strong and accurate arm. You would be sending him in for one set of downs if he wasn't up to it. Jefferson was panicking and was never going to do anything in that game. But yeah, when you would think that the problem is every player on the team before you would fault JJ, I am sure you would think that there was no better option.

Of course Les has always been just as stubborn in subbing out the o-line, but I am not sure if he tried every option there in that game. It was just very obvious that Jefferson wasn't getting it done.
