I don't get the hate for JJ. He was the best QB on the roster every year he played.

I never disliked JJ. I don't think he was a good SEC QB by any stretch but he had his moments. For the record I feel the exact same way about J. Lee. Some of you might not like to admit it but the 2011 season doesn't have the regular season it has without either of them and neither of them were beating Bama in the NC game

All I can say about that is that you are probably right, but we will never really know will we? JJ was so bad in the championship game that not putting Lee in and giving him a chance continues to beg the question as to what was going on between Miles and Lee. On that score we will never really know about that either, but something just didn't add up.

Guy gave his all....his all just wasn't very good.

-24-8 as a starter
-4733 passing yards
-34 TD/20 INT
-1018 rushing yards
-12 rushing TD

He may not have been a hall of famer...but to say he wasn't productive at times....or "just not very good" is a bit untrue.

Again I'll reiterate that I'm not hating on the guy...but

Is a little misleading. Aaron Brooks was successful at times with the Saints, but I don't think anyone is calling him a good QB. Colin Kaepernick played in the super bowl...good QB? Stats aren't everything. It takes more than that to be "Good". And lets not minimize the top 10 defense that he had that contributes to the record. This response isn't so much bash JJ as it is an argument against people throwing out stats to support their opinions. Just friendly discussion.

You are right about that. We will never know but what we do know is that LSU's oline was being dominated by Bama's dline and J. Lee had a history of int's against bama and under pressure. I think he should have given him a shot but I also don't think it would have made a bit of difference.

He should have taken his entire defense out to dinner after every win...

He wasnt very good...people forget how bad he was during his 4 years here...sure he had moments here and there where you thought the light went on and then next game its the same shite that makes you wonder if hell ever get it.our passing game was some of the worst in the sec while he was under center

Congrats to LSUs QB with highest winning percentage in the history of the school.

There is just no hope for some of the people on this board. Zero.

It is truly remarkable that 5 years later the "put in J. Lee" people are still just as clueless as ever. Really hope some of you consider getting "Put in Jarrett Lee" etched on your grave stones. It should be a law in Louisiana for "put in Jarrett lee" fans to wear some type of identification so respectable people know who to avoid in life.

STFU, it is not true that defense won all of JJs games for him.

9/4/10 - LSU 30 UNC 24 (2 TD passes)
10/9/10 - UF 29 LSU 33 (yes, Lee hit the final TD pass, but JJ played the whole game)
11/20/10 - LSU 43 Ole Miss 36 (Earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading LSU to a 43-36 win over Ole Miss ... Threw for a season-high 254 yards and one TD on 13-of-17 passing and added 45 rushing yards and one score in win over the Rebels )
11/25/11 - LSU 41 #3 Arkansas 17 (Threw for a season-high 208 yards and one touchdown on 18-of-29 passing against Arkansas, and he also ran for 53 yards, including a 48-yard scamper for a score)
12/3/11 - LSU 42 #12 Georgia 10

We put up a lot of points with JJ at the helm.

The "put in Jarrett Lee" faction of the LSU fan base is utterly abhorrent and is the reason the highest level of success will not be achieved. These people need to be put down like the terminally ill subordinate animals they are so they stop embarrassing the respectable LSU fans. Seriously, these people are a disaster.

Why you so angry? You know everyone is entitled to their opinion. It's not something to get all fired up over. Especially when they have a real argument. You know Lee was the most efficient passer in the SEC through like 8 games in 11'? You also know our offense had a total of 5 first downs and 53 passing yards? And you're ok with not trying anything else after being down 15-0 going into the 4th?

Edited to say I'm referencing the Abortion of a championship game.
