Looks like they moved the Tanney kid to the North squad to replace the Hawaii QB. He broke a bone in Nov in a game. Must not be 100% yet. JJ seems to be a last minute addition. Everyone was supposed to have reported on the 23rd.

Perception isn't always reality. Just check out his brother's interview on Scout a little while back. It was along the lines of "Do the fans honestly think the players aren't/weren't devastated by the game, too?".
He's stubborn, but he is not a full-blown retard. I am sure he is well-aware of how his performance graded out in the championship game.
