Stupid grade. He performed better than the majority of quarterback participants there. His grade was solely based on game tape.

He'll sign with some team, he might not make it past the first round of cuts but he'll get his shot.

It's sad but I'm starting to get the feeling that a lot of lsu fans are borderline racist. When will people stop with the attacks against this guy.

You are foolish to think that only game tape counts. I am not saying JJ is a good qb. I am just saying that his grade was not necessarily a fair one. Besides, both JJ and Lee were highly touted out of high school. Either they both suck or we can't coach up quarterbacks.

Have you ever seen Arian Foster's college game tape? How about Jason Smith's. College game tape does not necessarily tell you how a guy will perform at the next level.

its vastly more important than the combine. the combine's main function is to get some accurate numbers from independent sources, instead of the school. this can range from somewhat important (WR, DB) to pretty unimportant (QBs)

if the combine meant very much at all for QBs, the majority of the highly touted guys wouldnt skip all the workouts other than the height/weight check in. hell if it was that important tom brady would have never been drafted.

GG is to newspapers what JJ is to qbs.

Couldn't care less about either of these two people.

You just made my argument for me. You are saying that JJ's combine grade is a fair one, yet your example is a HOF QB who also had a poor draft grade.

Offhand, I'd say if he'd just STFU and go away, it would all stop.

Dude brings a lot of this on himself w/ his bad attitude and constant woofing.

no, i said your assertion that the grade is unfair because it is supposedly based off of game tape is bogus.

my point is that game tape is more important than combine drills. as for qb, the interview might be the most important thing of all, however.

So you don't think any QB has improved their stock through the combine or passing drills?
Yes, the majority of highly touted guys skip parts of the combine because they have nothing left to prove, but plenty of guys improve their stock during the combine or pro days. People aren't saying the combine completely outweighs what Jefferson did this season. An no one thinks he will be anything higher that an extremely late round pick at the most. But by all accounts he impressed at the combine and improved his chances of making a team, even if it's just a camp body.

NFL guys put a lot of stock into combine results and every year players improve or drop the stock because of their performance in it. That's not to say JJ will go from no chance to first round, but he can put himself in a position to be a desirable UDFA.

did i ever say that it was impossible?

the discussion had nothing to do with JJ specifically and was a generalization of the combine. if you are trying to tell me that the combine (and by this i mean the drills, not the interview) means more than what the player has accomplished on the field, then save it. You wont convince me.

Ok, this is a lot of nonsense.
We've all had our laugh at the PRE-combine scoring.

Then, I've seen people come here and say he scored towards the top of QB's.

So how did he do really at the combine?
Where are you getting that info from?
