Get everyone else except Jones extra at bats. He should hit in the second cleanup spot in the batting order which is #8. Until he can learn to hit off speed pitches — he’s pretty useless at #2.

baw is obviously a great athlete with great potential, and when he gets to the pros they'll probably coach him up, if he doesn't respond he'll have a brief career, but I almost laugh at the deer in the headlights look he gets when he sees an off speed pitch, it's like sleep paralysis

He was in the 3rd spot early in the year, just move Dickson to the 2. That wont look like anything more than Dickson making a lot of contact lately and can setup runners for Jones.

I don’t love the nerding out over advanced stats, metrics, etc just because it isn’t terribly interesting to me, but I would be curious to know his xBA and all of that right now. He doesn’t look great at the plate at all so to me that’s way more concerning than balls just not falling where they need to. We don’t know these kids personally but he looks visibly frustrated on TV.

I agree move him in the lineup, but don’t get crazy- there’s a saying that holds true: “Dance with one who brung you” kinda cliche but if he gets hot he’s a menace
