Coach Jones "How much money was really in the bag you dropped off at Lester's house?"

Someone should ask him about all the talent he has coming in this year. This program is about to go on a nose dive and that is saying something with where the program is at this moment.

"Hey Coach JJones, what will it be like to play next year in an empty PMAC"????.....

Problem is if he had any answers he probably would've used at least one on something you'd think.

The only way that is true is if he says "nothing of any substance." That's what the word "literally" just did to your sentence.

last summer he did an interview with Andy Katz, and Andy asked him something about the SEC and this was his response: "we have a tough league. kentucky & florida have won championships recently. AND ARKANSAS WON THE LEAGUE A FEW YEARS AGO."
Andy Katz said "that was in the early '90s, coach."
That's when i knew he was a buffoon.
There are a lot of reasons to not like Johnny but because he doesn't know exactly how long it's been since a team he doesn't coach has won a league championship is not one of them. I am willing to bet a lot of coaches in all sports couldn't tell you who won the league 3 or 4 years ago. They are wired different they don't cling to who won and lost games they had no part in like fans do.

Joe Alleva will be attending the press conference today. Hope he is grilled by the media.

I updated the OP with Alleva's statement before it happens today.

I'd be more than happy to represent TD and ask all of the rant's questions as well.
A few more for you.
Johnny, you are known as more of a "recruiter" than an X's and O's guy, but yet your recruiting class for the next year is outside the top 50. Your thoughts?
Johnny, was the administration afraid LSU would not receive a post season bid at all, and choose instead to decline an invite to save face?
Johnny, please describe, in detail, how you discipline players who don't "buy in"?
Johnny, was the sports psych experiment as big of a failure as it appeared to be?
Johnny, at what point during this season do you feel you lost this time? Or did you ever have them to begin with?
Johnny, does your wife spank your kids for you?
Posted on 3/15/16 at 8:35 am to More beer please
Johnny, have you considered bringing in previously unheard of Eastern European prospects to bolster your roster?

Someone needs to ask Alleva if he is worried about his job.
The bad publicity and handling of the Miles fiasco.
The two terrible basketball hires and the awful women's coach.
The tennis fiasco.
The never ending John Chavis lawsuit.
The last 2 national championship hires belong to Bertman in PM and the golf coach.

Johnny, have you ever seen a grown man naked?
Johnny, have you ever been to a Turkish prison?
Johnny, do you like movies with gladiators?

You mean winning the lawsuit and the tennis program being better now than it ever was?

You mean getting the money that he owes us?
If anything, those are probably two of the best things he has done since he's been here.

I've yet to hear one, single, logical reason why LSU should retain Jones as Head Coach.
"There's a budget crisis?" This seems to be the biggest "reason" for not making a change. My response to that is, so LSU is magically going to be flush with cash next year that they somehow don't have this year? Jones is the 2nd lowest paid coach in the league. Do you really save all that much waiting until next season to do the inevitable? And if they do, are they going to spend it next year? Especially when the football coach is ONE loss away from the fanbase calling for his head again. Newsflash, it's going to cost a lot more to replace Miles!
"Well, he should get one more year with a short leash." Why? Does anyone expect him to do next year what he couldn't do this year and barely did last year with much more talented rosters? Again, why wait for the inevitable to happen?
"Did you see what Johnson did at LSU? Jones is recruting well!" True, Jones has done a better job than Johnson. But with all that talent, the ultimate results are virtually the same. Hell, you could argue Trent did more in 4 years by at least winning the SEC and one NCAAT game. Recruiting great players is very important. But if you can't get great results out of them, what difference does it make? The incoming recruiting class is very avg. (at best) and Jones is going to get killed for this year by other coaches recruiting against LSU. So there is a very real chance the one aspect of being a coach Jones does well, recruiting, will disappear. This is especially big with a good crop of Louisiana players on the horizon. Including Jones, there are 4 coaches in the SEC from Louisiana (White, Johnson, Kennedy) They are all coming in to LA to try to get that talent.
"He's an LSU guy and loves LSU!" Great, so do I. That doesn't mean I'm qualified to be the Men's BB Head Coach. I think most people, even those who didn't like the hire at the beginning, really wanted Jones to succeed because he was "one of us". 17 years of history, including 4 at LSU, tells us that's not going to happen at any significant level

That has nothing definitive to do with effort. Read the post. He is in a job that he is not at all competent to do. He doesn't need to be head coach and should be removed. "Not trying" and "not knowing what to do" are two different things.

Coa..umm Mr. Jones...Sorry, I just threw up in my mouth when I almost called you Coach. Question...Since you and the players gave up on the fans this season, how would y'all feel playing in an empty PMAC next season when the fans give up on y'all?
