Afterwards, they were known only as the US Islands.
Thats what I'm talking about.
John Chavis gave my middle school team's defense a pep talk a few years back. We all now start for the Chicago Bears.

The rant also universally agreed in Third and Chavis for awhile too

Correct, which only goes to prove that the average fan can't tell good coaching from bad. All those Tenn fans that were convinced that Chavis had forgotten how to coach, were simply seeing the effects of a decrease in talent. Chavis was just as good a coach, 7 or 8 years ago, when he was being panned, as he is now.
Why is this point important? Because of all the rantards that are convinced that Miles and Stud, et al, don't know how to coach an offense.
Yes our last few years and this year's team have been mediocre, but there are many factors that can contribute to this. Miles first few teams, and some of his OK st. teams were pretty good offenses...and I fully expect there to be LSU teams soon that will be efficient offenses.
Somehow fans, who are no more than casual football observers, become convinced that they can devine all the answers to our problems, and that somehow these career coaches are totally oblivious to all the things they have learned over the years.
I...dont...get...it!!

John Chavis is most underpaid coach in America.

When his he gonna walk in Miles' office and tell him to get a f***ing offensive coordinator before he unleashes a blitz on his arse?
THIS!
I have NEVER NEVER EVER been comfortable with Coach Stud as the OC. And, the offensive line problems may be attributable to him as well.

When John Chavis goes to the library he looks for the Guinness book of world records in the comedy section

He is the glue for this team. I dare to even Imagine this team without him.

You bitches were pissed about the hire. I was even scolded after 2010 saying chavis > pellini. 3rd and chavis!!!
La is stocked with sick defensive talent. We put speed on that side of the ball. La doesnt produce qbs. Maybe rp could have had 2 good seasons, but he screwed up.

Deserves another raise at the end of this season. Far as I'm concerned, he should be getting as much as Miles. If he wasn't on this team, Miles would be on his way out.
I love Chief and hope he retires from LSU but Miles has proven he can hire other good DCs

REALLY? You weren't comfortable last year when LSU put up the 2nd most PASSING TDS & RUSHING TDS in our entire history?

No matter how you try to spin it,offense has been the weaker phase since Les has been here.

Death once had a near-John Chavis experience.

Might as well give some credit where it's due.
Thank you Les Miles for suffering through Malveto while you waited for a real deal DC.
Now do it with an OC and lets start dominating the planet.
