Joey Burrow 2020 rookie cards

I bought a couple of JB 2020 rookie cards months ago. Bought as a little piece of personal memento (along with the SI cover of 2020 championship). I am by no means a sports card collector of any kind. Having said that, do rookie cards hold up any value? Any collectors or sports cards experts here can explain about rookie cards vs. preserving some type of value?
TIA.
TIA.

It’s like investing in Microsoft before it went public.

If they’re autograph cards, they’d be worth a good bit.

I got the middle one of those for my son, but it is ungraded...along with like 3 pages of other "normal" cards...then an autograph card and a couple of jersey relic cards.

After my son showed my how much 2000 Tom Brady rookie PSA 10 cards are going for on eBay, he convinced me that hopefully these would be good investments in 20 years lol

If he wins an MVP pretty much every rookie card of his will be worth at least a little bit. Hold onto them all

How much are they going for?
I just checked out how much MJ rookie cards are going for/ sold by, and it is amazing (5 and 6 digit numbers).

2021 Ja’Marr Chase rookie cards PSA are hard to get with all the waiting lists on people trying to get their cards grades from PSA. Even the ones on Ebay are going for more than what I want to spend.

Joey B's cards, like other valuable cards, should hold their value - just don't know how much they will increase in value. Mainly because as us older guys (I'm 55) die off, the interest in them and market for them will decrease significantly because the next generation is mostly into electronics and not 'cardboard'. I don't know a whole lot of young guys in my two sons age range (they are 19 and 28) that have interest in collecting cards. They nor hardly any of their friends seem to have an interest in it. Now, maybe that's just their groups and things are different elsewhere. Young guys, chime in here. Do you have an interest in card collecting? And, if you do, is it as a hobby or more as an investment?

My son wanted a NFT before I bought the ones you can hold in your hands lol. I still don’t understand NFT so I said no. Things are definitely different then when I was collecting cards in the 90s. My son really loves Burrow so he wanted them.

I think you made a good buy in getting them - especially after he is named the Super Bowl MVP in a couple of weeks!
