From his LSU bio....

"He has published op-eds and book reviews in numerous publications, including The New York Times, the Boston Globe, Smithsonian, Politico, Vox and Salon."

Who the hell are you to tell people where, when, and how to spend their money? I, along with millions of others, love sports and enjoy watching them. Especially anything regarding LSU sports. I love the university too. But I paid my damn tuition and fees when I went there. Lol, frick off. It's not your money, and just bc you don't care about sports as much as the next man, doesn't give you the right to tell others how much money the should spend on supporting sports. You idiot.

If the professors didn't demand such high salaries for their already over paid jobs (driving up the cost of tuition)...just MAYBE the school could afford nicer things for the faculty. I've seen the houses that some of these entitled SOB's live in and they sure are living the highlife off of the poor students tuition. End of discussion.

I mean god even professors at the university are now calling it out? shite is pissing me off.

They are like Alleva and giving into the national media morons. Meanwhile, in Alabama, LINK
You think any professors there had a problem with this? Any national media start articles saying that money could and should be used elsewhere. LSU needs to FIRE any professors that have a problem with anything the athletic department does in regards to upgrading it's facilities. I can almost guarantee you that's what they do to professors or journalist that do this in bama or Ga. That football program is a MONEYMAKER and it funds a lot of other sports programs that are not self sufficient. Anything the football program can do to attract the best players is a necessity to continue winning games and raking in the damn money! If that football program goes down, so does the salaries of these professors. Yet these arseholes and jackasses don't see it that way. Frick them!!! Get them MOFo's out of there!

Sorry Robert Mann you made a shitty career choice.

Why do you suggest this? Do we know what Mann earns per yr? Per hours in class lecturing and/or grading? Total hrs hrs per week and yr on campus? Does he generate any of his income in grants,etc..?

Of the LSU Profs that I've sat in class as a student, known personally/socially, and/or professionally..

Most do very well, regardless of spouse combined incomes.

For what he makes per actual hours worked, I suspect that he should maybe vacuum his own office?

Serious question when is the last time you visited the LSU campus? There’s been a ton of investment I’m not sure you know what the frick you’re talking about.

The players need to be quiet and let TAF and other LSU administrators athletic department speak. Disrespecting any professors or other LSU admin would be a bad look seeing as how they are in school and have to graduate. Doubt you want to piss the wrong people off. I understand their frustrations but they need to let the right people in this matter respond which should have been Bonnette and Woodward. Coach O needs to jump on that very quick. Definitely not a good look.

How fricking pathetic is it that our starting QB has to respond to a professor in this way?
he certainly didn’t have to respond. It would have been better to ignore him.

agreed completely. I don’t like the look at all that this has. Players need to let this go and stay way out of this fray.

Doesn’t matter to me

I don’t exactly like the idea of student athletes starting public spats with university employees

If you do then that’s obviously fine. Agree to disagree.

Oddly enough I don't really remember any political indoctrination at LSU. I had Mann for a class or two in the 90s. Maybe I was stoned or hungover and not paying enough attention.
You can't use your experiences in the 80s or 90s at LSU to compare to the current experience. The university has changed drastically, from faculty balance to student body. I say this as someone who attended in the 90s and who came back during this decade.

People that think professors opinions are infallible blow my mind. They don’t deserve absolute respect and if they stick their noses where they don’t belong, they should be rebuffed. You’re speaking out against what pays your salary. And what business is it of his what grown men and women do with their money?
