Cool article about Joe Brady and everything that’s culminated with this season. Go ahead and give that man the Broyles Award!

Advocate: So nothing’s done yet?

Brady: No, nothing’s been done in my eyes. Nothing is… I’m just focused on beating Oklahoma right now.

Well I think I speak for many when I say "back the truck up for him."

Didn't Coach O says that Scott Woodward is ahead of the game on this and that he's confident that Brady isn't going anywhere? They would be stupid to let him get away.

That part didn’t give me a very warm and fuzzy feeling. Woodward better figure out how to keep Brady.

yeah, sounds like a bit of back pedaling. Probably only means that his agent told him not to commit before a new contract is done as it hurts the bargaining. But still I wouldn't expect him to say anything else. He will get offers and if he goes it will be very sad and even upsetting but we can't focus on that now.

Where else would he go? He’s not getting a head coaching offer from any major program and he’d be an idiot if he took a job like that right now.
We can pay him as much as any other program is willing to pay him to be the OC.

If Woodward allows Brady to get away after one year and the transformation then he should be on his way too. There is no excuse for Brady not being the highest paid OC next year.

This.

If we let Brady leave it will be a disaster to LSU Football on the scale of letting Nick Saban leave, the Perriloux situation, and 1/9/12. We can NOT let him leave due to anything within our control. Keeping him at LSU is our number one priority every offseason in my opinion.

If he leaves, it’s because he wants to get away from LSU. It’s that simple.

Yes, we can, but are we willing to? That's what worries me. This will be Woodward's first big test since taking over as AD. If he fails it because of meddling from the good ole boys, I will be beyond pissed.

As long as it's not $75 million over 10 years guaranteed.

Yeah and that’s why I’m not one of these fans that is obsessed over the Woodward hire. The hiring of Jimbo with all that guaranteed may end up going down as one of the most expensive terrible hires we have ever seen in college football.

More likely it would be because LSU failed to agree to Brady's deal points.

Pretty clear that Brady wants to be at LSU.
