Don.t know enough about F. King and the academic side. I do know that he has his hands full with funding issues. But if anything is clear, the way he has tolerated Alleva and his incompetence, it's not a good sign. When Alleva went to the BOD and when ask a question by the Board his point of view about the revenue from the SEC network-and his response was "we don't know"-he should have been fired right then. The Company I worked for and most private Companies would not have tolerated that kind of response on such an important issue. F.King should not have either !!

Those of you who blame Alleva for indecision on Miles seem to think the decision not to fire was his.
Press at the time gave me the distinct impression the BOS, F. King and even Jindal became involved to keep Les. If so, Alleva had his legs cut from under him. He works for these folks.

Under Alleva's watch, the athletic programs are thriving, having successful season's and making money with the exception of basketball.
This is pretty much what he's graded on for his job performance.
