The Les Miles thing was a CIRCUS that was orchestrated by the LSU athletic department. That's why F King had to step in at the last minute to put a stop to it. Leaking stories to the media in an effort to create the appearance of huge public support to fire Les (there was a small, but loud group that wanted Les gone). In fact, as witnessed at the Arkansas game, there was even larger public support to keep Les. This is EXACTLY what happened and Joe is the captain of that ship.

I'm questioning whether you actually follow LSU football or not. It's OK if you don't. Just don't pretend that you do.

Well if you were able to see and think beyond face value here, you would see that it's not just about the visiting band. It's about the dumpster fire we have running the show right now.

We're gonna fire Miles and make it a public event in an underhanded passive way. Wait, no we're not. Just kidding.

We're gonna have to cut TOPS or else there will be no more LSU football. Oh ok. Never mind. We were just trying to get our point across.

We're not gonna allow visiting bands to perform halftime shows and we'll call it a safety issue. Wait, nope. Just kidding. We're currently looking into it.

We're gonna persecute students and fans for drinking on game day and tiger baiting opponents, and roll our eyes at the traditions.

Unbelievable. And you're right, it's not just Alleva. It's all who are involved. From Alexander down to
Alleva. And that liberal non LSU interested count in student affairs.

It was made up bullshite to try to pinch a few pennies. It backfired PR wise, so it got rescinded. That's it.

Joe was on 104.5 Monday morning talking about how he met with the "risk assessment team" and they arrived at this policy over a year ago. He defended it for several minutes. He receives a lot of undue criticism, but he absolutely is the public face of decisions like this, and absolutely is responsible for the PR surrounding them.
