"Hey Fighting Tiger" and "Fight For LSU".
Says they are too offensive. Fighting is not a message that LSU wants to teach its college students.
"Tiger Rag" also being considered for the chopping block due its offensive nature to a woman menstrual cycle.

Alleva also took issue with this line from “Fight for LSU”:
Alleva noted that the lyrics, which only mention purple and gold, are not inclusive of other colors and thus could pose a potential Title IX violation.
quote:
Like Knights of old, Let's fight to hold The glory of the Purple Gold.

Isn’t tiger rag as a whole song banned?

I heard he forwarded those lyrics to the NCAA compliance department for review and they agree, the lyrics should be stricken from the song. But the compliance department had different reasons. The purple and gold colors were considered appropriate especially purple because it's a mix of red and blue which is s clear sign of political diversity. The compliance department was more concerned with ageism. The reference to "knights of old" is exclusionary to young college students.

Have you also noticed that the word "Bengal" is never mentioned as part of the LSU Bengal Tigers?..... Heard he banned it because it possibly could send the wrong message about tigers confused about their gender.
