Alleva is still a bum. He absolutely botched the football hire, He was basically forced to hire Wade, and then completely botched the situation with him last year.

Not refuting any of the criticism . I was his biggest critic going back YEARS . I’m just saying that in the end, somehow, despite the bumbling, he made precisely the right hires and gave us exactly what we wanted , even as we melted about it. He has the hiring scoreboard, we eat the crow. It’s just a fact.

Alleva deserved plenty of shite for his botched handling of everything, but he actually made pretty sound hires outside of Caldwell.
