That's just who he is as a batter. Feast or famine and when he's hot it's on and cold he's cold

Still over a .900 OPS which makes him one of the top 7 batters on the team.

Honestly I'd like to see us give Pearson a shot in LF.

Dugas
Morgan
Crews
White
Jones
Kling
Pearson
Thompson
Neal

If you could promise me that we'd get the Pearson from last year, I'd be all for it because it accomplished 2 things.

1) Keeps Tre at 1st base

2) Puts a better defender in LF and a better overall hitter as well because 2022 Pearson > 2023 Jobert.

Problem is, we have no reason to believe right now that we'd get that Pearson. He has been terrible at the plate since the fall.

I don't believe that why would he not be better than last year.
Jobert has been given every chance to grab a spot vs Josh who has played rarly.

Because regression is a real thing in athletics.

Same reason Jobert has gotten worse compared to last year.

It’s so weird and kind of frustrating. Imagine having last year SEC-play Pearson in this starting line-up. A true sophomore at that. Just One of the most random, unfortunate slumps I can recall.

this. right now, Pearson is strggling big time at the plate but last year was not a fluke. he needs to work it out.

He seems to be challenged shaking off questionable or bad called strikes during ABs, then takes swings at pitches out of the strike zone.

I thought for sure he went over the timer a few times this weekend. That is going to drive me insane if he continues to give strikes up and/or rushes back into the box and just swings at whatever. He has to find a new routine.

Jobert is hot garbage. There is a reason he went to 5-6 colleges.
He needs to sit for good.

So much proof in this thread that a lot of people don't even watch the games. Jobert did well this weekend. He hit almost everything hard just had a couple of bad breaks. Out of his 7 ABs, I'd say 5 were quality ABs.

Hot garbage baseball players often hit 18 home runs in a season, so I can see why you’d think that

Yeah, in practice. If you can’t do it in practice you won’t in a game.
