Long gone. Wouldn't be shocked if he took $100k.

Always a chance but I don’t think he has much to gain by coming back.

Getting drafted there gives him options and things to think about.

Theoretically he could come back and work himself into a higher draft spot.

The issue with coming back is that is he would then be a senior with no leverage and there is no guarantee his game will improve. And it’s also doubtful that he could play himself into a 3-4 round pick.

For him its probably better to go.

For less of a signing bonus.

Whatever bonus Jobert signs this year will be larger than what Dugas signs for despite Dugas being taken 6 rounds higher.

Be happy for Jobert. Living the dream, goes out a national champion and will probably get north of $100k to pursue his baseball dreams.
What's the most likely scenario if he comes back? Has an identical statistical season and signs for less than 1/2 of what he'll get this year. What's a possible scenario? He comes back to LSU, gets passed by incoming and current OF's, and destroys his professional baseball dreams?
Good luck Brayden and thanks for the memories.

This is a sit-down with Jay and he should layout or has a pro-cons on each. Great that he was drafted but the money slot is $100K or less. Is that a 1 year deal or $100K over 3-4 years? If he does comeback can he get between 5th and 10th round next season...

You have no idea how the draft works.

Jobert is going to get more than 100K.

I asked the question because I see these slots and some make drastically less than advertised in MLB from what I have heard and some or should I say in later rounds ZERO is guaranteed. Which is why I asked. Did not expect my friends son Tyler Herro making $120M over 4 years and I have known him since 5 years old. But some sports are better money makers than others. I hope he does make a lot more.

The baseball draft isn't comparable to any other sport.

He will make more.. he has leverage as a junior. Guys like Dugas will always get screwed because they can’t go anywhere else. They will pay them less to shift money to later rounds. MLB draft is about managing a budget for all your picks. It’s not simply about taking best talent available
