I seem to recall a lot of balls thrown so hard that they;d bounce off receivers' chests last year...

I'm sure the 3/13 performance by JL in the scrimmage before the season has the coaches a little gunshy, so much that he took the 3rd string reps the next week (the week of the Washington game)

I don't see how our offense could be worse with lee. He needs playing time just to see if he has learned anything

OMG! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!

One stat says it all: NCAA RECORD FOR THROWING PICK 6'S

Question: If the races of the QB's were reversed would this still be your position?

We play with the best talent we currently have on the rosters. I think JJ has done a lot more in his starting time than JL did. Now, I don't have stats to back any of that up (though I seem to recall a graphic on the screen after he threw that lone interception-- NOT a pick 6-- saying that he'd thrown 107 passes without an INT).

My sense is that Les thought we would not be in this situation b/c he thought we'd be starting RP this year. He'd planned way back in the day by bringing in RP as the hot recruit, never figuring he'd sh*t the bed the way he did. Once he saw that happening, he started pulling in more talent-- but coaching them up took/takes time.

Also, recall that Andrew Hatch was starting for us last year. Evidently Les saw enough in AH to bench both JL and JJ. Once he got hurt, he lost his starting position and JL took over out of necessity. Once JL took some snaps and got some seasoning, he became the starter, even after AH healed up. BUT IT WASN'T NATURAL TALENT THAT WON JL THE JOB. It was AH's injury and JL's subsequent playing time that got it for him.

JJ needs that same playing time.

Geez...you are the real idiot here. That stat was from last year by the way. What have you seen from JJ this year that compels you to rely on last season's performance to make your point? Let's face it...JJ's performance so far this season does not have too many people excited. And throwing racism into the mix is just pathetic. You are probably one of those moronic, liberal moths that cry 'racism' everytime someone challenges BHO policies!!!

The poster merely expressed his opinion regarding our sophisticated and high-powered offense this year, and you flame and then go and hide behind the aegis of racism. Right on bro.

would the players play for JL?

against Vandy when JL came in the game for the 1 play (not knowing how hurt JJ was) I wanted to watch the reaction of the players in the huddle when JL walked in

he walked and immediately starting high fiving players (and getting them in return)

THANK GOD, it appears most of the offensive unti that was on the field that night are not the same level as the mental midgets on the rant, and are more mature than demetrius byrd

Think about this for one second.... As of today which qb gives you the feeling that he has the ability to complete 3-4-5 passes in arow that cover say 20 yrds each... Im not talking aobut a 3 yrd swing pass to BL that he jukes a 5'7 170lbs corner and scores on, im talking a playaction or straight drop backs where he throws a laser 15-20plus down the field...
With that said if you were BL or TT or RR or CM or RD and wanted to catch more than 3-4 balls a game, whod yo uwant to throw it to you?

A guy that has prvoen he can do or one that struggles to complete on more 10 yrds down the filed and just as well like to take off and run?

Sometimes it appears that a series on the sideline might help JJ collect himself.

The bigger problem that I see is that from watching the playcalling, is that the OC has little confidence in the intermediate passing game. We either throw 5 yard passes and hope for YAC or chunk it long and hope for the best. There are very few passes in the 15-25 yard range that allow drives to get momentum. When you dink and dunk down the field, it puts more pressure on the offensive team to not make a mistake. One bad play ruins the drive.

We normally wear white uniforms, and last year we saw that Lee seemed to always throw it to a colored jersey. Last night, Lee threw his one-yard TD pass to the team wearing the colored jersey--we just got lucky we weren't the ones wearing white last night.

You are a complete pathetic idiot loser.

We are clearly starting the best QB we have at this time...In this league, we need our back up ready to go...give JL a series or two, JJ can take a step back in the middle of the game to observe from a different vantage point, it's a win/win...

it's just to risky to give JL more playing time especially in close games plus JJ needs the playing time more to develop a better chemistry with his recievers.

Did anyone watch last year? Now JL looked to be a promising passer untill he buckled under pressure and threw interceptions that lost us many of our games last year!!!! Do I think he could become or overcome his issues? It's very likely even though hasn't passed over 5 yds yet. The first pass looked good but this games pass looked shakey. BESIDES he can't scramble. Where JJ and RS can pass average and run/scramble above average! Maybe RS should get the chance to pass???

JL probably needs one possession per game. I've always liked the format where the backup gets one possession.

i agee jl needs more playing time, but for a different reason. i think it would be very beneficial to jj to allow him to stand on the sideline for a few plays, or a series, and see what the defense is doing from a different perspective. just a hunch
