I know I will likely take much heat for saying this, but I think racism is playing a part in Lee's support. Sure will suck to have one early loss because of Lee's horrible pocket decisions, and all this because so many LSU fans wanted to see a white guys playing QB.

MSN, I really do not see how ANYBODY could choose Lee over JJ after what we witnessed at the end of the season last year. Jefferson bloomed as LSU was the major underdog going into Atlanta to play a tough Georgia Tech team. I just do not see how Lee should get the benefit of the doubt after what we witnessed last season.

What support? There's like 1 person who thinks he should start, the rest of us just think his bashing is completely uncalled for. I don't think this, but if there's ANY racism in this debate, it's from those who think black guys can be better QBs because they're more athletic.

JL played against, AU, bama, Fla, Uga, Usc, MSU.
If JJ and JL's playing time and comeption was close to the same I would agree with you..... BUT ITS NOT.
If you are ready to crown JJ after the time you have seen him play and under the circumstances he was playing then fine.
I for one am not.
I need and want to see more out of the guy.

Again, there are those, but they're not present here. That debate was most people wanting WHITE guy to start. This one is most wanting a BLACK one to start. And there's more on Jefferson's side than there was on Flynn's actually. How can you not see this?

If JL the starter then he earned it. Dude was a RS freshman last year maybe he saw something in watching the film from last year. Oh Good GOD!! dare we say he may have learned from IT

Carl, Ill be the first to say if JL outperforms JJ this spring and fall then HELL YEShe should get the start on Sept 5.. if JJ does better than he should get the start... but I will not say right now (april 4, 2009) who should start in a game that is to be played 5 months from now.
