not really, I have a wife to spend time with. . .

how about we just agree to let coaches decide this summer and fall and hope that one of the two seperates himself.

2 things put a wrench in your idea:

1) Lee has always been GREAT in practices, Spring Games, and scrimmages. He sucks at ACTUAL football games against ACTUAL defenses that are ACTUALLY trying to stop him. He just freezes. He is Jamie Howard, without the talent.

2) What did it take to replace a starting QB last time?

When JJ starts handing games over to defenses like Lee did in 08, you might see a switch.

The biggest problem we have is no matter who starts as Quarterback for us is not SEC caliber. Based on what we saw yesterday JL at present looked the better option. For JJ to look so awkward after being the #1 guy all season is nothing to take lightly. Dont matter anyway because it is on Miles to get it right or He will be shown the road which is what I expect to see happen anyway.

a ball thrown 10 yards

...would be a deep ball for JJ. His average completed pass last year was thrown about half that distance.

I'd say they were what for what. I'm not a JL fan either. I just know that JJ gives us minimum edge over any opponent.

I might have gone to EBR public schools, but I am pretty sure that if #1 is best, then #51>>>#112

I've been a season ticket holder for 43 yrs.I still have the passion but not the emotion for Tiger football---get over a loss in about a day now. I enjoy coming here, pretty entertaining most of the time but on the issue of starting QB. Not funny anymore. JL or JJ could not start at Southeastern next year. It will be another long season.

Do you actually watch any of these games? Neither of the subjects in question played defense. Just to help make it simpler for you:

Scoring Defense

2008 NCAA Rank #56
2009 NCAA Rank #11

Just might have had something to do with winning one more game between the two years. I guess when we compare the two, would you rather drive a fast car, with the potential for a fatal crash, but if not, you get where you are going and look good doing it, or would you rather drive on the rims, grinding along, possibly running out of gas, maybe making it, maybe not...? I would prefer the high risk, high reward, knowing there is potential upside than die the slow painful death we suffered through last year. Even the wins were painful to watch for the most part.

Do you?

Ooops. . .did you hear that? LSU's equipment manager just ran one back. . .

JJ had some poor games. How many of those did he get pulled for Lee? What does that tell you?

How about this instead. Shut up you stupid assholes. JJ is the starting qb and everyone should have known that no change would be made no matter what.

He is going to be the guy to lead this team.
The End!

Can I take that as a maybe?

This thread is ridiculous

I'm sorry, but if we start out the season with a piss poor offense and Jefferson still playing like a true freshman, then he needs to be benched

period, end of fricking discussion

the 112th ranked offense had to do with the running game too. with o-line improve i think our running game will take some pressure off JJ. last season we faced too many 3rd and longs and put JJ in bad situations. Dont think hes great but id take him over JL. JL played in the La tech game and looked awful. That was only months ago and am i supposed to think that hes so much better after 2 months of spring practice... JL cant handle the in game pressure.

LA TECH GAME. Do you people seriously think JL has progressed so far from that after 2 months of spring practice where he faces little pressure.. Get real

Lee can handle pressure as good as JJ can...the Auburn game, good drives against FL, GA and Bama that year. Looked good against Bama last year up until the point where we had no choice but to pass every down. His problem has been mental mistakes that he hasn't been able to overcome, most of his mistakes haven't been big pressure mistakes, just horrible recognition and decision making. He'll make more mistakes than JJ, but will generate more offense.
