Skip built this from the ground up and alot of what you see today across the sport is because of other schools realizing the potential of college baseball as a sport and getting behind it. With that said Jay is a hell of a coach and I hope we always do everything we can to keep him beings he is only 48 years old.

I love both Jay and Skip, but LSU baseball is what it is because of Skip.

JJ is doing excellent. Different circumstances and eras though. It's easy to recruit great players here because of the powerhouse program and atmosphere that Skip built. When Skip took this job, LSU was awful and had zero baseball atmosphere. No one cared. Hell, skip was an assistant at Miami and took a pay cut to become the head coach at LSU.
What Skip did was amazing. JJ is doing excellent though in a challenging era too with the portal. Yes, you can build a great team in a year or two with the portal, but you can also lose your players quickly and start sucking.

Don't you ever disrespect the Skipper. Skip-5 nattys; Jay- 1 bout to be 2 is all you need to know. Maybe one day but not now. Stop with the foolishness. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't want any other coach today but Jay.
