I seriously doubt that 15K LSU fans bought tickets on the secondary market which is what Ott heard. But if that many did, my hats off to LSU fans.
My estimate is this: 3500 (official party, etc) plus 500 who bought UT season tickets plus 6000 (secondary market) plus 150 (got tickets from friends/relatives) for a total of...

If you had told me this a week ago I wouldn’t have believed it, but I’m starting to think this might be accurate.
It’s a small sample size, but 20 of the 21 people I know coming in for the game either have tickets already or are buying before kickoff. Not a single one of those tickets are in the LSU allotment.

Nearly every Tiger fan I know in Dallas is going with tickets. Lots of secondary and corporate tix.

Taught to show my work (15,000 + 3,500 = 18,500).
Rounding, like a good fisherman should, that equates to about 18.5% of the stadium.
And that’s extremely conservative. We got ours directly from a season ticket holder and I know a bunch of others who did the same. Rough estimates are also that LSU fans purchased 2000+ UT season tickets... 20K+

it will be closer to 20,000 when all said and done and in the 4th qtr it will seem like 40,000
