Look I'm totally on board if jimbo is the choice but I find it interesting that everyone thinks he's a perfect hire and shouts down anyone that critiques jimbo. It's kind of weird.

Lemme tick the boxes that you want in the next coach.

Talent developer? Check
QB developer? Check
Great recruiter? Check
LSU Ties? Check
Relationships in Louisiana? Check

So yeah i don't want Jimbo at all.

He was lucky to get Mauck, Russell, Flynn, Ponder, Manuel, Winston...
And develop Booty into All-SEC QB. Davey into 2001 Davey. Miles has one SECCG appearance without a Jimbo developed QB.

Jimbo is 50 years old an proven. He won a NC at LSU, set up Crowton to OC the 2007 NC team and has won a NC of his own as HC.

It's ridiculous to vet Jimbo as a coach and come out questioning his success.

What has Jimbo done at FSU that makes everyone think he will be a great hire ?

He's won 10 games in four of the five full seasons he's been there. If he wins this week, it will be five seasons out of six. Their last 10 win season before he took over was 2003.
He made their program relevant and a national contender again.

Jimbo plays down to competition a lot and loses games to teams like Georgia tech from time to time. He's not perfect.

I think he's a great option for us though. I just don't understand why we aren't allowed to critique him before/if he comes

wait a sec, but critiques of Miles have been shot down here many times though, by the same people making critiques of Jimbo

Jimbo's resume makes Les Miles resume prior to LSU look like a kindergarten student.

I've defended you recently, but get real on this one.

I AGREE, I don't get the fascination with him

He would just be Les Miles version 2.0

I prefer to support my coach and team. Especially considering the amount of success that coach has brought my team.

I'm not going to apologize for being a fan and not worshipping a coach that isn't at my school.
