The problem is that he lost about 90% of his offense from last year. Cook went pro and Francois got hurt, so he is relying on two true freshman at QB and RB to carry the offensive load.

To be honest O hasn't been given much slack for having an injured Guice, Key, freshman across the lineup and loss of most of the team's 2016 tacklers to the NFL as well as OL and DL injuries. And despite that his team has rallied after some really bad outings.

Will jimbo get to 7-5 this year?

No. They had a game cancelled due to a hurricane so they only play 11 games.

Syracuse
@ Clemson
Delaware St
@ Florida

3-1, at best, the rest of the way.

5-6 staring Jimbo in the face.

That's pretty true and Jimbo has to own some of the issues, but they've had a really challenging year. They started off with #1 Bama, lost their QB for the season, had their next game canceled and then next game got postponed... THey've had no kind of continuity out straight out of the gate. They've had an extremely weird year and didn't have much time to develop their offense with a true freshman QB to start out the season. They didn't even have a cupcake to build confidence after the Bama game.

They pay Charles Kelly peanuts; FSU ain't paying 2 mill for a top flight D.C. when Jimbo is getting 5.5

I do not know who else was interested in the LSU job last year. No media reported real interest by anyone worth talking to....under the circumstances (keeping Aranda and some continuity) the O hire is defensible....I would have liked to have Jimbo or that guy who went to texas but neither one wanted the job....so who do you think it should have gone to...

I wonder when was the last time UF and FSU both had a losing season in the same year. It could happen this year.

1947

UF --- 4–5–1
FSU - 0–5

1961

UF --- 4–5–1
FSU - 4–5–1

It would be hilarious if FSU knocked off Florida at the end of the year, and both end up 5-6.

Only because JA conducted a coaching search of 2. Laziest, most under-whelming coaching search ever. We'll never know who may have been interested due to that.
