Ever notice the similarities between Sumlin and Jimbo? Take away Jameis Winston and Johnny Football and you have two average coaches.

It means LSU was not willing to meet Sexton's ridiculous demands for a coach not on the level of Saban.

Every year coaches come after Raymond and every year we pay to keep him

Are you the leader of the Jimbo fan club or just that big of a pussy that you are scared of him?

Means A&M are fools for paying Jimbo 10M. Means we will still get to beat A&M annually even though they hired the game of thrones look alike..

How in the hell is averaging 10+ wins a year as a head coach average? I'm not saying Jimbo is some sort of god send, but he's far better than kevin sumlin...

He's also been to a BCS/NY6 bowl 5 of the 7 years he's been at FSU, far from 'average'.

fricking nothing!!

It should because it will show just how poorly the 2015 Fisher to LSU thing was handled by Alleva and how terrible the 2016 search and hire was conducted.

Good thing TX HIgh School FB is short on good QBs.

You guys have signed more 5 Star qb’s than anyone in the Sec. How has that worked out for you?

Recruiting hasn’t been your problem .

The Acc doesn’t compare to the Sec so let’s pump the brakes on that record for just a minute. Miami only got better this year so basically he had to beat Clemson which he rarely did.

I think it would be 70% chance he stays at Florida State!

When at LSU always in a big game played not to lose rather than try to win! So glad LSU didn't hire him when Les got fired!!!

He’s 4-4 vs Clemson....

Far from “rarely” beating them.

Since you are apparently the “stat” man, what is his record vs Clemson without Winston??

Don’t worry . I’ll wait ..

decent coach, not great with lost of rumbles at FSU of not getting along with very INFLUENTIAL staff members

.... THAT may be the reason he leaves.

Those kinds of situation only get better with 11 win seasons...and that may not be doable for Jimbo

Fair enough. I would love to revisit this in a couple of years from now. Jimbo is a good coach , but he is no top tier coach. I can’t pretend that 10 win seasons in the Acc are comparable to the Sec, pac12, or the B10 (or whatever the hell they call that conference).

When your only competition in your leaugue is one other team then it changes your power rating. There are multiple good teams those other 3 power conferences.

How do you think Lsu would fare in the Acc ? What would our record have been prior to this past year with Miami rising?

I sure as hell could see Lsu going 10-2 consistently in the Acc.

Heard from an Ag insider that they are offering 10M/yr X 5 years. Wow.
