The only laughable part of this thread is that people want Jordy to be the replacement. Might as well be Birdman.

Dude my point in saying that was to show how rediculous it is to argue that the guy doesn't give a shite about the outcome of the game and that he just wants to go home
You think because he's a member of the lsu athletic department, that he has to care about the games outcome? If so, why did he keep mentioning that they needed to get the game over with so they could go to auburn? We don't need to hear it 30 times.

No dumbass. I think that the fact that the guy has been calling the games, doing the coaches radio shows, traveling across the country, etc..for 27 years tells me he might actually give a damn about how the teams are doing.

You don't think he's gotten tired of that? That maybe its worn on him, but that he still wants the paycheck?

If he hated it as much as yall say I would think he would have already given it up. I would think he has enough money to live on until Social Security kicks in.
And the Auburn thing, he was jusy making the point that the TEAM had to leave and go straight to Auburn. He sounded like he felt bad for them...ya know...for having to get straight on a bus after a 4 hour game to ride all the way to Auburn.
Besides, that's just trying to find something to bitch about anyway. If something like that bothers you that much then just don't listen anymore.

How bout this. Why don't you shoot him an email with a list of approved topics that he can talk about?
Picture yourself trying to keep a baseball game exciting and interesting for 4 hours. You gotta talk about something damn.

You don't even know the difference between a curveball and a slider. What gives you the frame of reference to discuss broadcasting?

Ok, if y'all had a choice, who would go first - K Lady or Hawthorne?
For my money, it's bye-bye K Lday.

They sit kind of close, we could take them both out at the same time

I've always said the best thing to do is to get a ton of hot college girls and hand them k's before they go in and tell them to post them after every strikeout and to do an awesome dance.

it was a joke, they are within 200 feet of each other, good enough

I think so...
My plan for Hawthorne...we all line up at the stadium next week and wear t-shirts that say "Thanks for the Memories, Jim" and we clap and yell "Jim Jim!" when he walks up to the stadium. Then, one of us gets a mic inside the stadium and does a last game tribute to Hawthorne.

I suppose that's not good enough for you. I guess you can't critique a second basemen unless you've played that position, just like you can't evaluate a play-by-play guy unless you've sat in his chair and done it yourself.
That about right?

That'd be great with a picture of jim on the shirt of course
