What makes everyone think he'll just get lengthened probation?

Prisons are overcrowded and judges don't normally want to send more guys to them because of a fist fight that resulted in no serious injuries.

I've seen a lot of people get thrown in jail for violating their probation. Not once have I seen a judge spare one because of "overcrowding".

His probation has had restrictions already placed on it, before he was formally charged with simple battery.

Those restrictions, from what I read, state that he cannot go to bars and must also follow the previous conditions of his probation. That was done in court from the same judge that will hear the revocation hearing.

He has stuck to those rules and as long as he continues to do so, he should be fine. I highly doubt that this judge would add the restrictions and then later at a hearing say, "well, I changed my mind."

The revocation hearing is part of the procedure. She's going to send a guy up the river for punching someone? Not condoning it but that's ludicrous. Why bother with adding restrictions in the first place, knowing the revocation hearing would inevitably happen anyway?

Again, not condoning what he did but he's stuck to the rules of his current and updated probation. It's over and done.

I assume you think he sees prison for the charges on the table and I don't.

We will see what happens.

I hope so

I also hope this won't come off looking like special treatment

How can it? In a court of law restrictions were already added. Added.

Not trying to be a jerk, so please don't interpret it that way.

As long as he sticks to this, he'll be fine.

What is the court date in August for?

Is this confirmed or just assumed that will be the time frame?

I can't speak on that. I don't know.

It could be the revocation hearing but that's just me guessing.

Just my guess. I really have no idea.

He'll probably sit out TCU and the meaningless UAB game. Will not hurt him or the team.

He punched a guy in the face who had been fricking with him all night. It's not like he bashed his face in with a baseball bat or something. This kind of shite happens every day literally and nobody goes to jail for it.

So is Hill done regardless after this season? I am thinking so. Losing him and blue is tough. I know we have Hilliard and then LF if he commits but the rb position bothers me.

I'm guessing he thinks nobody came from the poli board when Brad Wing got kicked off the team

That wouldn't fit his narrative too well though now would it?

Rb is probably the easiest position on the offense.
