Guess a college degree means nothing.
Actually it means a lot less now. Most people are going back to school. 4 years just isn't good enough anymore. I'm not doing anything related to my degree. Really its only good for if I run out of toilet paper.
For me, id finish if I was on the fringe of being drafted. Just because you might as well get it while it is free. But still, some people who go to school for 6-7 years will never make the league minimum as a yearly salary.

Maybe the replacement for Stud isn't a JH fan. I hope he can stay out of trouble and not turn out like the diesel.

WTF was with the USA Today article?!?! Probably the right move for him, but damn the hits seemingly just keep coming.
That's exactly how I feel.

Can't people be happy for this guy. He doesn't owe LSU anything more than he's already given the university. There are no guarantees if he comes back--injuries, possibilities of lesser production, etc. If he came back for another year, what does he gain? I've said it before, I want every LSU football player to make an extreme amount of money and have great success in life and football. When someone sticks a mic in Hill's face during a successful NFL season and asks him a question about college, I want Hill to respond the same way as PP7 and TM7: LSU was a great experience, I love Les Miles, and GEAUX TIGERS!

The problem is that all of these underclassmen declaring for the draft is they don't actually see themselves going to the National Championship, so why should they stay when there is really nothing for them to stay for. I'll bet anything a lot more players would stay if they thought the outlook for a team was bright. Right now, it just don't look that way and hasn't since 2011...

The National Championship aspirations VS NFL money?...easy answer for these guys. If we are all honest about this, we should be awfully proud of the 2 great years he gave to LSU and wish him nothing but tremendous success at reaching his freaks in the NFL. He will always be a Tiger.

So why even toy with everyone if he was just going to go pro?

He was a general studies major so yes his degree was worthless

How do you all not realize the whole rumor was intentional ? It's not that big of a deal and I'm not knocking him for doing it, it was the right thing to do.... It was the perfect way to get his name out there more and even get national press to highlight him... He was probably advised to do just that.... It worked and possibly helped his draft status... not that uncommon and not that surprising
Good Luck JH#33!!

Best of luck. Knock 'em, er, dead, so to speak in the NFL. Be good.

These guys don't play for us. They play for their teammates and coaches. At the end of the season, if your options are make guaranteed money in the NFL, or come back and, best case scenario, improve your draft stock by a round--as a running back, you take the money and put all of your time, energy, and resources into making yourself the best pro player you can be.
Weigh it against the possibility of lowering his draft stock if he doesn't produce as well as this year, or the worst case scenario--injury. This is a no brainer.
A national championship for geaux99 and octeauxbersveryown isn't on his mind, nor should it be.

This. Always this. And for every kid who ever signs an LOI to attend LSU.
