Rettig has the best release and better arm according to several reports last spring and summer. Rivers is a vet of the system.

Probably the reaction to AJ's game today has to do with the fact he was overhyped. No doubt he'll become a good QB, but when expectations aren't met, people get disappointed.

Amazing how the kid makes a couple mistakes in his first start as a true freshman and now the nega tigers have shelved the expectations for all next year!

I don't know how much he will improve or if he will at all, but to say he will not improve based on a single game is retarded

Why? Just have a open competition in the spring and let the best play. LSU don't owe Jennings anything.

Jenning had all of spring and played in the spring game. He was back up for the whole season getting lots of reps and got limited playing time. He's way ahead of a redshirt and he is certainly not a true freshman at this point he is really a sophomore !
Cam can only do so much . After a year of getting reps he did not know where his receivers were.
Reminded me of Jefferson. I have to wonder about Rivers or Brandon Harris . Harris will be an early enrollee
However he did show great leadership on the field. I hope Cam can coach him up. I want him to do well.
When Jefferson was Qb we did not have Cam Cameron.

I'm not ready to call the kid a bust yet, but why is it LSU has not been able to find a QB who can come in and play better than that. I mean look at the kid a Mizzou or the QB at Baylor I just don't get it. The last QB we had that came in and could run a offense was Tommy Hodson.

My concern after watching today's game- was there anything from Jennings that gave Tiger fans confidence that he is the answer at the QB position for next year?? I didn't see anything that gave me that feeling; yes, his supporters will say he is young, but come on, there have been lots of freshman starters around the country that have done quite well for themselves. The emphasis on today's game is kids coming in and playing early. JJ had lots of potential too- I am tired of that word...you either step up and produce, or we need someone else.

He seemed overwhelmed for most of the game and I think that CLM understood this clearly. He will have to get a lot better if LSU has a chance to win the SEC West next season. The Defense was surprisingly awesome!
