What kind of numbers are ya'll predicting for him in 2009? Assuming he stays healthy the whole season
I think he throws for around 1600 yards(in 12 regular season and a bowl game, Sorry no SECCG) for an average of around 123 ypg. 17 pass TD and 10 int. As for rushing I think hell go for about 500 yards and average about 38 ypg on the ground with another 9 touchdowns. So 2100 total yards with 26 touchdowns give or take. I tried not to over hype and I still may have on the total rushing but I think 38 per game seems attainable for him. What say you?

1600 passing seems pretty conservative.

11,000 yards passing and 4,500 yards rushing, 642 combined TDs, and zero turnovers

1600 passing yards will not get it done. He needs to average around 150 ypg with minimal INTs.

If we rush for 250+ a game. We need 200+ from the QB position.

Since we still have Mr. Scott, KW, and Murph, we can run the ball effectively because Miles has brought in some good linemen to where we wont be too set back with the loss of helms and herm. Id say JJ gets around 2400 passing with 17 TD passes to about 9 INTS, but he also gets about 500 yards rushing with another 5 TD's. He doesnt need to go out and win the games on his own, he just needs to get us into the position to compete, and our skill players will step up for him.

I say he puts up RS Sophomore Jamarcus Russell type numbers. 2400 pass yds 15tds and 9-10 picks. Those were good enough numbers to get us to the SECCG. I think it can happen again and those aren't too high of numbers to attain.

If he starts all year, that would be absolutely horrible. Unacceptable, really.

I'm not sure about that. He might run some, but sack yardage counts against rushing totals for QBs.

exactly. He'll bust some nice runs during the course of a season and he'll get a few rushing TD's, but to expect 500 yards is ridiculous. He's not a run first QB, he'll get sacked and stopped at the line enough to keep his overall rushing total around 200-300 for the year

Hopefully he is not the first option for the designed qb draws or runs, maybe sheperd plays that role. When he scrambles while passing a see big yardage potential but the designed runs against Ga Tech,,,,if he gets enough of those hits he won't make it through the year.
