The Tigers upside is limited with JD at QB. With the WR class we just signed and with Anderson’s transfer, the strength of this team is at WR for the foreseeable future. Add in some depth at TE and it just makes the QBs ability to read defenses and get the ball downfield even more critical and JD is not that QB!

Why would Kelly give him a guarantee? If he’s the best let him start, if he’s not, then Let him leave. No guarantee necessary.

He’s not coming back if there’s a QB competition where he could possibly lose. That doesn’t make sense. I know you think you’re defending him not it’s not a critique it’s just common sense.

If nuss doesn’t want to compete then he should leave. I’m sure there are some div 2 schools that will just anoint him the starter. Maybe even some bad G5 schools.

Only an LSU fan would be disappointed that you may have a returning QB that has already proven he can lead your team to a win over Bama and an SEC West Championship. I know Bama wished they had that.

You don't have to be a Garrett fanboy, as you put it, to recognize that the offense is a weakness with JD running it. I don't know if Howard or Nuss is the answer, but I know you're not winning on the road at Auburn and Arknasas many times with the way JD played those days. I think the fanbase would look totally different at qb had lsu not miraculously won those two games. I know you're not winning a shootout against a&m with JD at qb.
The strength of this team is the WR group. LSU hardly exploited that matchup. The downfield passing game was nonexistent. It seems to me you'd want to play to your strengths.
