Every time there's a thread on Daniels somebody suggests racism is the only reason people criticize his play.

Have you seen SMD’s posts on here about Daniels? I’m pretty sure he just got the ban hammer for being racist. He calls everyone “woke” who supports Daniels. A bunch of his posts just got deleted by mods.

Probably bc to any other rational person, it’s kind of crazy to criticize a qb for throwing 20/29, 300+, & 4 TDs.

I mean we’re discussing this on a thread about him being the co-offensive player of the week in the SEC

Did you think he did well enough in the first half Saturday? No?

The difference between us is that I can look at what he did in the second half and recognize that it was excellent and totally made up for a slow start, but if somebody even says once that he underthrows a pass people lose their minds.

And then all the racist BS starts.

I noticed that as well.

He deserves a timeout. Guy has some vendetta against Daniels.

Same thing happened to the poster “white tiger” a couple of weeks ago.

He and SMD really have a derangement syndrome over Daniels. The poster “The First Cut” is getting close to their level as well. He’s one to watch

And we're discussing this because this was posted on page 1:

quote:

If Nuss and even Howard was still here it will be 20x worse. If a cultural favorite is present, then he's never good enough. As a man of color this has been my journey too many times. I know his parents prepared him for this. "We always have to be 10x better to just get an opportunity"

Even in a thread celebrating another award for Daniels, the racebaiting BS is brought into it.

Why look at a slow start & poor performance in the first half and ignore a final stat line of 20/29 & 4 TDs. That’s an above average performance despite a poor 1st half.

I’ve said multiple times in these threads, Daniel’s has done more than enough to earn the trust of this fanbase. You either like him or you don’t.

Why are you ignoring that there definitely has been racism angled posts about Daniels? SMD literally just got banned for it tonight

How have you missed his posts over the last year? He’s been saying the same stuff over and over and it finally got him tonight to the point they deleted his posts entirely

And can’t keep going in circles with this level of stupidity.
Like I said, his performance this past week was above average for any qb that doesn’t deserve your nitpicking critique.

Brian Kelly says our qb is performing at an elite level, but you must be much smarter than he is

Read this again:

He looked rough to start. That's just a fact. He played incredibly well later and did more than enough to win. They didn't call a holding penalty on Arkansas and our defense can't get a stop on 3rd down and it still didn't matter. He was too good.

Am I not allowed to say that he a slow start Saturday? Are you that fragile?

If you look back, you’ll see that I was quoting another poster. That certainly isn’t my opinion as I tried to explain in my post.

As I said, to this point in time, he’s got the best stats of any SEC quarterback

Congrats JD5. For the offense and JD5 to flip the switch in the 2nd half was impressive.
The MSU game and now the Arkansas game, he has been getting rid of the ball quickly and throwing great deep balls.
With this defense right now, he will need to maintain that consistency and score a lot.

So, if I'm understanding your post correctly, now you're punishing him for being productive and good enough to start "too many games"?

I'm not punishing anyone. even said it was an impressive feat.
I'm providing context.

JD is a damn good QB. best in the SEC this year.

but to give a stat saying he's one of only 6 to do something makes it sound as if he's in the top handful to ever play the position. which well, sorry but he isn't on that level.

Jayden Daniels has a chance to surpass RGIII in career passing yards.

RGIII: 10,366
JD5: 10,233

Ok, well let's put this into a little bit clearer relief to you:

There are 143 QB's in NCAA history with 10,000+ passing yards.

Jayden Daniels is the 6th of that group to also have 2,000+ rushing yards. The group includes a couple of Heisman trophy winners (RGIII and Mariota) and two other guys who finished in the top 10 in the Heisman voting (Boykin and Kaepernick). This is not a bad group of guys to be lumped in.

It's a pretty unique feat; it's likely that if he continues to progress this season along the same path, he'll finish with 12,500+ passing yards and 2,400+ rushing yards.

That would leave him as one of only 2 to hit those marks - Dan Lefevour is the only other one in that category.

It comes down to pure ignorance. If Nuss and even Howard was still here it will be 20x worse. If a cultural favorite is present, then he's never good enough. Haters will always Hate. Keep feeding the Hate

If you had left out the “We have to be 10x better to just get an opportunity” I would have agreed with your post. That part is laughable and makes me wonder if you accidentally used the reciprocal. They drag unqualified black kids to every elite university in America, and then all the big companies do the same. And don’t tell me otherwise, because I’ve worked with too many of them.
